I honestly belive that music played with instruments suffer the same being live as electronic music does.
There's very few bands that can pull off being live - both laptoppers and rockbands.
Hiphop live is generally a shitty joke. - Gangstarr were incredible - so was the roots in my experience.
I've seen Nirvana, Wu-tang, Bob Dylan, Rage against the machine absolutely bombing infront of a large crowd. Then again I kind of dislike the theatre but watch a lot of films - so might be the same principle.
Im just pointing out that great live music is very, very difficult thing to achieve.

What really pisses me off is the fact that Deadmau5 can't fucking write.
British bass music>American treble music.

Was at the Mala Eeprom show in San Fran a week ago, and the guy behind me starts up with "that guy with dreadlocks is just up there hitting play on a laptop"
it took me about .5 seconds to tell him that those round black things he kept pulling out of his bag were what we were listening to.
Wasnt trying to be a wise ass, thought buddy might have liked to be in the know as to the legitimacy of that moment.

the keyword here "clubs". i've never seen anything in a club compare to a late night afterparty in a some random house in chicago or an underground warehouse eventhurlingdervish wrote: If you grew up in North America this generation, the clubs you went to

and you've obviously never seen frankie bones, if you have that statement should've never slipped.
