What a way to get introduced to it... Shame because I can think of probably 50 tunes right now they'd love, and dozens of producers. But of course if they played them something like Clouds - Under the Dancing Feet it wouldn't get crazy reactions and stupid faces, and hence no youtube hits (sadly much like the Clouds tune).

In the latest installment of their ongoing web series "Elders React," The Fine Brothers expose members of the Greatest Generation to dubstep by way of Skrillex and ask them how it makes them feel.
Spoiler Alert: Most of them don't care for it and think all the kids today must be high on drugs 24/7/365.
One of the olds in the video offered this possible explanation for why dubstep is intrinsically unsuitable for elderly people: "It made you pump, pump your heart, faster, faster, faster, so probably younger people would like it more because older people could die maybe."
Though the reactions were almost universally negative in nature, one participant did manage to find a silver lining: At least it's not as bad as Justin Bieber.

The whole thing is weird. I know these reaction vids are posted to get 13yo's to laugh at how "out of touch" the older generation is with their music.
But the thing is, I feel alienated by that shit too. It's not particularly good. A lot of those seniors seemed pretty open minded, so I think their reserve is based on the fact that it sounds like shit, not that it's too hip.
Old people, like people my age, like good music. My mom is in her mid 60's and she likes it when I play Scuba.

Just saw mala in a jazz club in sf and their regular clientele comprised of oldies were seriously getting the fuck down. This one old lady in like a sparkly top danced for hours saw this one dude in an impeccable suit and hat like straight tweaking, turn the techno Viking into old black dude with impeccable taste and u get my drift. Old people just like good music.
Someone make a tune using samples from the 'can you make some of these sounds' part.
