Just found this PDF online, insanely helpful it teaches you all you need to to about music theory including scales and what scales are used for what.

They got this in a pdf format? He must have uplodaed it illegally or something cause I actually have that book. There's actually a lot of great reading material out there for this kind of stuff if you look for it.

This is a pretty good book. I think it would have been nice to have some more explanations though. There are parts where it's like, "This is what this is, and this is how you do it". Where I think it would be nice to know why you would do it and examples of ways things could be used. He'll do that for some parts and then just completely ignore it on others. I wish I could remember the whole thing so I could give some more precise examples of it but the text was rather forgettable. The information however was very valuable.

Yeh i've read through quite alot of it now, there are some parts that don't have as many explanations as others. But it is really handy cause it teaches you how to properly sequence chords and melodies and such
