SNH died when Corpsey, Shonky, etc went. I only come on DSF when I'm extremely bored nowadays.

Listen I spent a while lurking here in 07. Just getting a feel for things. And that was with years of prior life wasting online experience. A lot can be learned from just staying out of it, and observing.
Anyway it is all good.
We're just mourning our fallen.
this. it's all about observing how things work for a year or two before participating. That's what I did.
I already knew who was cool (lynnmc) and who was a dick (gwa) before I joined.

^ No, I think what made this place interesting was people going against the grain, posting their own next-level breed of weirdness. You can't study and replicate the level of madness which used to be the SNH. No two interesting posters were alike.
There was simply a few interesting, crazy people who were responsible for a lot of the good threads and discussions. Most, if not all of those people have now gone.
I'm sure there's enough nutters on this forum to re-ignite the magic of the SNH but I think they're probably intimidated by the regular (but not particularly interesting/funny) posters in here.

I think people project their own cynicism on the board too. Like the honeymoon period is over and people start to get bored and then blame a perceived change, when really they need to look at why they have become cynical stnuc themselves.

Most of the time when I go to post shit, I read it and just end up deleting it. A little posting quality control goes a long way. If you don't have anything to good to contribute, don't post until you do. It's not a race to get the most posts and therefore the most respect (look at Wub, who respects him?

)
It's the quality of post not the quantity that should get you noticed. And the fucking arguments and shite banter you get around here is fucking tiring to read. Some folk need to wind their neck in and stop acting like they run shit around here.
this is an excellent example of a post I should have deleted

Exactly, that's why I always notice spelling errors.
GV1 writing from prison was easily the most exciting thread I've seen though.

I'd liken them more to Happy Tree Friends - starts off innocent enough, but soon after someone is having their eyeballs clawed out.
