Flatten means just drop down a note,so if you are playing c just drop down to b,if you are playing b just drop down to b flat...........Fbac wrote:Ah i get you,, use a sharp of flat is what you mean by flattern?lloydy wrote:Diminished fifth don't you just flatten the second note in a minor chord?

Re: TUNA WEEK
i have no idea how to make diminished chords sound good
even after the 2nd year of highschool music theory they always sounded shit to me, no matter what was played with them

Re: TUNA WEEK
Lloydy, of course you should be making music because it makes you happy, that's what I'm doing too, but it doesn't mean you can't want to be signed and have your music out and released.
Re: TUNA WEEK
Yea but if you send your stuff out and do get signed you will be expected to keep making the same style of music, and making music because you have to or because your under contract can be less fun and not make you happy =]Sonika wrote:Lloydy, of course you should be making music because it makes you happy, that's what I'm doing too, but it doesn't mean you can't want to be signed and have your music out and released.
@lloydy : Thanks that makes more sense!
@rayman: Yea im doing a piece for coursework, so i want to use the diminished fifth for this soundtrack piece just so i can write in the essay "i used this bullshit cause this bullshit is considerd scary and fits the scene"

This is the nail it on the head really,i produce many styles and want to keep it that way,i come from a different era to most of you surrounding dance music.I've done the deep house/trance/paul oakenfold 1996 era, hardhouse and goa,jungle/liquid/jump up/tech/ragga dnb and now deep/bro/medi/dungeon........fucking hell the list is endless.Fbac wrote: Yea but if you send your stuff out and do get signed you will be expected to keep making the same style of music, and making music because you have to or because your under contract can be less fun and not make you happy =]
I want to make what i want when i want and thats the beauty of not wanting to be signed.
Honestly if it happens i will be stoked and shouting it from the roof tops but i'm happy doing what i do.
