So in order to save on CPU, I bounced out a 4 bar "C" note from massive as an audio file. Then I split frequencies, distorted, slightly phased & slightly detuned the mids and highs, saturated the low end. The only problem is that even after manually warping / repitching over a whole octave, the higher notes sound "thin" and lack the really thick reese character that say...C through D# have.
Is there a way to maintain the thickness even at the higher levels? I probably could EQ each sample until they are all relatively equal, but I'm sure there must be something I'm either doing wrong, or that there might be a process that is more efficient. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I know I could just stay inside massive, but I'm trying to "ween" myself from relying on it too much. Plus there are loads more capabilities IMO if I can really learn to work the fuck out of Sampler / Simpler
Resampling type question

Re: Resampling type question
bounce a few more notes of the sound use a sampler/rompler & map the notes to the correct keys.
either that or bounce the massive bass "raw" before the FX were added
