Not sure, I thought the first tune Coki played was 3KOut and that got rewound 3 times, then he dropped another tune that everyone went mental over and got rewound 5 times. I could have my tunes mixed up.

I need to find a properly labeled clip of 3kout to be sure, didn't see it on Jakes' page anymore.

There is a small clip of Jakes 3kout in the GetDarker Media Center under dubplates ;)

Photos will be up shortly!

Ah nice one man, what's the tune at ~104? Coki dropped that before 3k out and that's what I got confused with.

Cannie wait :o

Disclaimer: was absolutley destroyed. Thought i'd be ok since they've stopped selling Guinness!! WTF...not sure about Dragon Stout. But too much Red Stripe :7:

Out to the Effra Crew - soon to be the official pre-DMZ warm up spot. Nuff heads gathering. Big up. I was 6 pints in already before i even got to Mass. Larging up Fooisbar from Finland solo journeyman. Reso early doors man. Kaizen for the mission, CD and sick jacket!! Deep Thought and sis, standardly. Kid, Bert, Mis, Bliss, DB, Ewah, Boom - the core dusbtepper family for real! Out to Will Blaze and Hash Money 3.5 Crew, Whistla (just give up! Lol), Rok On and German crew.

Thought DMZ was back to its good sound and vibes. All the dj's smacked it. Sponge Bob was defo the anthem of the night. Bare pull ups. Joe Nice was the set for me tbh. Variation, style and banging tunes. Too Much War is just silly. Needs more recognition. Larging up Clouds.

DMZ and Loefah brought nuff heavy dubs, need to hear them again soon at FWD or on Kiss to sink in deeper. You just don't get to see these guys play in London as much any more. Probably what makes DMZ such a special occasion.

Horsepower's Jungle set was STUUUUUPPPPPIIIDDDD!!! Out to the dead man walking duo. Biggles!

Aftermath - waiting on the pics. :2:

Did the usual, left at 7.07 got home at 9.30am. Public transport hobo. I think if i added all the hours i've lost after DMZ it might actually come to about 18 hours....

ez all, here's some pics from the trigger happy misery!

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3 ... =836440719

i'd been looking forward to this dmz for time and wasn't disappointed!!! i don't smoke so the ban didn't effect me directly, but i did notice it wasn't quite as busy as usual - but that just means more room to flail around :) did fill out nicely for dmz v loefah and that was one of the best sets of theirs i've heard for ages.

some of youngsta's mixing stopped me mid skank in amazement, always coming up with little surprises! enjoyed joe nice's set, even though misery and markle had their sweaty paws pulling back every tune :D you did warn him to be fair...

out to quest and $hy my sambuka compardre's, roguestar drinking the cider i hid in the bushes, walsh and the missing key, mork & mindy aka boomnoise & markle: spectacular performance! deapoh selling cans of redbull for a quid at victoria station, georgina, skeeze, contakt, farrah, ewah, whislta, all the reading travellers, reso back from exile, wubeeena, h.o.d & dman, and anyone else who grabbed me!

as boomnoise would say... Bass & Vibes - sums the night up perfectly!

Just remembered Loefah dropping The Nervous Track by Nu Yorican Soul (MAW). Bad bwoy tune. I love it when they open with different shizzle. and Joe Nice's boogie openers. Too much!!

DJ Whistla wrote:well, where to start
i think i caught one or two mixes of john rust, bout 3 mixes of chef b2b walsh and about 3 mixes of hijak b2b ld
after that i had had enuff of going up and down the stairs so i went to the off license and bought a few beers and ended up outside pretty much for the remainder of the night
if this is the future of dmz then i think last night was my last one
real shame as it aint the dmz gangs fault (or the clubs) but if i gotta go outside all night (to the point where i think fuck it and stay outside) then i think its over :(
I dont understand this? you had enough? of what?

JOE NICE OPENED WITH WHAM! - EVERYTHING SHE WANTS
(which was absoloutly baaaaaaaaaaad, big 80's synths, yes pls)

*corret me if im wrong, but im positive, and after chillin with some people afterwards who had been to DMZ, when i brought this up, no one had been in the main room for it (smoking outside ... grrrrrrr) so it jus sounded compleatly nuts when i said 'yea so joe nice opened with that George Michael tune' ...... plus the sketchyness with being up all night intoxicating ourselfves...jus made it sound so bizzare!
i started to think maybe i had jus imagined it!? lmao

Woah :D Top one, really glad DMZ was back and banging... I kinda like everyone being outside smoking, it can be a nice lil escape and it wakes me up a bit as well. Yesterday was all about that DMZ b2b Loefah set. One of the best sets I've seen, quite a few new bits. Skeng/Poison Dart (Flo Dan version) were sick and everything just fucking took off when Coki went to the decks. Ridiculous tunes, good to see all the DJs looking like they were enjoying themselves so much. Anyone know the name of the second tune Coki played, sounds like its just gonna topple over any second and its bloody great. Good to see a Joe Nice set as well for the first time, really top stuff. Good vibes and music all round yesterday. Out to everyone I spoke to yesterday as well.

one of the enormous wobblers mala dropped is a new clouds tune :) (the one which kicked up or dropped down half an octave every now and then)
