Yeah man.
The breaks are used well, they are almost a filler or afterthought for the rest of the tune. It's driven by that atmosphere and huge synths. Love that, definitely get a 90s vibe.
Heard a couple of these singles like The Hope, but didn't even know t€hey were part of an LP, thanks for that. Loved the last 2.

Re: Scuba - Cognitive Dissonance
Yeah this was my fav of the album
Another Scuba dnb tune, off the Exit records compilation:
There's lots of synthy dnb around these days that I'm getting into more. Consequence's first album was really good.
Anyone know what synths Scuba uses? I've been meaning to ask on here for a while.

Easily the best tune off that album. Reminds of that Autonomic sound dBridge & Instra:mental were pushing. NOMIC001-003 were hands down my favourites from 2010. Not to mention Fabriclive 50...
Re: Scuba - Cognitive Dissonance
Chemical Records lists it at 85 BPM (170/2), I think it's the drum patterns that make it feel slower.Sonika wrote:sounds a bit slower than 170? anyways yeah it's a beaut
^ THIS. Shame what happened with Instra:Mentalultraspatial wrote:Easily the best tune off that album. Reminds of that Autonomic sound dBridge & Instra:mental were pushing.

Re: Scuba - Cognitive Dissonance
bop and a few others, never been a fan of hospital and the sub labels tbh when it came to liquid
always prefered the stuff like global connections series on covert ops, subtle audio etc
honestly i don't follow releases or mixes that much for any genres cept when i'm shopping for new tunes, that about as much effort as i put in these days and what i hear when i say once in a blue moon dl a mix from someone i've been following for years or go out to nights

med school is a cool label
I love lung, although I'm mainly more partial to his 140 stuff like sky people, afterlife, etc

really cool mix from microfunk, all made out of an 808 kick sample. the sound design is insane. the first song and the one at 20 minutes are personal favorites. wish i could find a proper tracklist.
