I really shouldn't have clicked on this thread....I don't know how much longer I can hold it in guys......I can feel it, the rage within me. I need to count to ten.

Breathe........

Okay. I respect your decision to listen to whatever music you like. However, this forum is generally not regarded as a place where you'll find too many people who will answer your questions seriously assuming they pertain to the style of music about which your asking.

It's okay bro. I know it's hard for you to take people with "lesser" music styles than you. Just breathe.

yeah mate, head on over too the UKFmusic Forum, they tend too be more about the sound your after, as they are in charge of the YouTube Channel, not my taste in music, but that by no means hits me with a "omg tell him, he's different"

hopefully you can find some people too talk about it with there, good luck.

and i actually think you got a few serious responses because you asked the question, formatted it, and really explained it and showed understand that it mightn't be the original sound, if only everyone into that sound knew it ^_^

I think that UKF forum is a good place to start looking for brostep or what ever you wanna call it. But also if look at the production section, theres millions of topics how to make this and this sound and if you listen to the track posted as an example i bet you find some new "brostep" producers and tracks.

MMZephyr wrote:Hey guys, I've started realizing what kinds of dubstep songs I like the most. I'm hoping there is a name for the type that I like, or maybe some more suggestions of other artists that do these same things.

1. I've noticed that I don't tend to like dubstep drops that are just bass without a high pitched type of sound at the same time.

Here's an example of what I don't like:

Nexotic - Meow

Firestep - The Inferno

They just kind of stay in the bass zone without having sounds like this (I know it's probably better with subwoofers, but I'm not getting any):

Feed Me - Whiskers

DJ Fresh - Louder (Flux pavilion and Doctor P Remix)

I just enjoy the more high pitched sounds. Even in skrillex's scary monsters and nice sprites, my favorite part is the scream before the bass. The bass becomes more enjoyable, to me, after that scream.

So is there a term for the more high pitched mixed with bass drops? If not, could you refer me to some songs like this or artists that do it a lot?

2. Quick, repeating drops

Once again, Louder remixed by flux and doctor p. It has a great repeating sound from like 1:09 to 1:12.

Another example: Stephen Walking and Going Quantum - Full Grizzly. I like from 2:58 to 3:00 they introduce that repeating, quick thing. It enhances the rest of the song from then on.

One more just to get the point across, Cyrex - Earthquake remix

Is there a name for that, and if not, other songs that have that?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I think they are bleep synths repeated as audio in the sequencer.

When did Atlas Cesar start lurking amazon
It is perfect compilation of the double step. I listened to whole once song and decided to myself that yes this is the doubstep cd that I will listen to. I see that one stars of reviews and think to myself "maybe double step people like to do listen to music only to say other people bad music listener"

If you fan of double step electric music you buy cd have good time at parties and in regular life.

You seem pretty switcched on OP, well compared to most brosteppers we get here.
So, my question is WHY do you like this kind of music? What exactly is it about screechy noises and halftime drums you find so fascinating?
