Ritual has proudly become an icon in the dubstep scene. These events are not possible without the music lovers that join us. With our humble beginnings in a tiny club, we eventually expanded to the famous Temple Nightclub in San Francisco and Dragonfly in Los Angeles, with beautiful dancing people joining us regularly. This is an experience that is fueled by you, and we love you for shaping Ritual in a positive direction.

Set Times:
Gritlock 2am-3am
Reid Speed 1am-2am
Ultraviolet 12am-1am
Johnny 5 11pm-12am
Necromonger 10pm-11pm

Reid Speed [Los Angeles, CA]
http://soundcloud.com/reidspeed
Owner of Play Me Records

When Reid Speed began spinning records in 1996, she first generated curiosity as one of few female DJs at the time. However, she quickly earned respect for her talent in the highly competitive New York City DJ scene. By the summer of 1997, she was working with rave promoters Stuck on Earth Promotions and the following year as a member of the Direct Drive crew.

Play Me Records, her label, is a leading force in the American end of dubstep and fidget house. Reid has now a second label, Play Me Too Records. As one of the first US DJs to champion speed garage & 2 step (which have become today's fidget house and dubstep), her new label's quick rise to the top of the dance charts reflects her continually forward thinking musical evolution.

Reid started out in the New York City underground working behind the counter at the legendary Breakbeat Science store, holding residencies with Stuck on Earth, Direct Drive & Camouflage while in college at the School of Visual Arts. Drum and bass at the start, she was soon was seduced by the sounds of 2 step and speed garage and began DJing full time, producing tracks and throwing her own events. Signing to Breakbeat Science's label in 2001, she released her first mix "Resonance" to much critical acclaim, and successfully followed it up with 2003's "Life After Dark." On subsequent tours with Om artists Ming & FS and Colette she honed her precise genre mashing mixing skills and developed a synergy with her crowds that is unmatched. Her tunes and mixes get play from many of the worlds most respected radio stations and DJs including BBC/ Annie Nightingale (voted Reid Best Mix of 2008), Sweidish Egil (Power 106 LA), Z-trip, Drop the Lime, Jaimie Fanatic, 12th Planet, Bassnectar & DJ Dan. Whether on the floor, in the studio or behind the decks Reid keeps pushing boundaries forward every step she takes

UltraViolet

UltraViolet aka Eva Lee is known for her crowd slaying sets, top notch selection and first class mixing skills when playing a show. Our homegirl has been pushing bass music to the
bay area and beyond for over 15 years as one of the area's favorite dj's and has currently turned her focus onto production and touring slinging bass to crowds across the states as a headlining act as well as sharing top billing with such djs as Excision, Datsik, Bare, Mark Instinct, Reid Speed, Dieselboy, Eprom, Lazer Sword, Mary Anne Hobbs, AC Slater and many more.

2012 has been a standout year for San Francisco's UltraViolet.
With 2 tours already finished since January which included touring with Paradox (of the legendary Metal Headz UK) headlining in Puerto Rico & for the Los Angeles Dubstep Party Smog and 2 big releases coming up its no wonder why she is currently one of the most sought after female dubstep & bass music dj / producers currently touring in America.

A pioneer to the Dubstep scene UltraViolet and her production crew RedLine hosted some of the very first large scale underground events to the bay bringing in some of the biggest names in dubstep, d&b and bass music to the area. UltraViolet currently resides between Los Angeles & San Francisco where her future projects for the summer include a Trap Music EP and working on as many musical projects as possible as well as helping Mallabel & Hellefante organize and throw the Fractalize Festival in Northern California which includes acts like E-40, Tore of Hieroglyphics, Rocker T & Jah Warrior Shelter, Stagga, Jansteen and many more.
