Kibb - Some WIP [sorta melodic, but still kinda filthy]

Post by Kibb » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:49 am

Soundcloud

Any and all feedback greatly appreciated, been working most on trying to get the mix right, so any comments regarding that would be especially helpful.
Also, this was mixed with the idea that some parts would have vocals, if that means anything when giving feedback.

KIck drum needs a lot more punch, I can hardly hear it. same with snare. some of the mid range, particularly the growl sound is too loud imo. The melodic synths in the background sound cool, but a little quiet. Needs a thicker, louder sub.
Overall a pretty nice tune. IMO some of the midrange sounds out of place, or maybe too prominent.

Thanks man. I'm assuming you mean the kick during the actual main bassy parts, not elsewhere? I used two different kicks, one of which is meant not to have much punch. And yeah, I hear what you mean with the growl being too loud. I'll have to look into how exactly to make the sub "thicker". But great feedback, many thanks :)
