There's a producer called Zomby, who's had a number of critically acclaimed releases and used to reside on this forum under the name j_j. He was also an asshole, hence why he isn't here anymore.

Basically Rayman is wondering what Zomby thinks of Zomboy, considering their names are so similar and Zomboy is a shit-stain on dubstep who makes terrible, terrible music.

Name's luke, and I started listening to dubstep/brostep ~1 year ago. I have Razor and FL Studio, but I am waiting to buy a 49 note USB keyboard (bundled with komplete elements for $90 total :D ). I'm influenced by people like deadmau5, skrillex, omnipony (or omnivore), ect. I'm just too lazy to start working on a song atm. ;-)

24-year old aspiring producer from Amerikush, Georgia here. Got introduced into the magical wonders of dub about a year ago and it has completely dominated my life since its inception in my brain. I like listening to a good number of producers like Skrillex, Zomboy, Flux, Doc P, Loadstar, Skeptiks, Klaypex, Knife Party, Delta Heavy, and Bassnectar. Looking forward to meeting new people and learning from you guys. Dooomsday!

Moin,

I used to read threads, dates and discussions since a couple of times, finally I decided to take part in the community to be able to ask for producingtipps and stuff.
Living in Dresden, Germany I'm very into the deeper styles of bass-music since years and started djing about one year ago. nuff said.

hello i'm vader340,

uk based, used to write Drum n bass and hip-hop but gave that up a while ago coz i got bored of it all, been loving dubstep for the last few years, so now i've decided to take up producing as a hobby.

currently trying to get my head round FL Studio, I'm sure there must be a program more user freindly, seems awkward woving around. I've only had fl since friday though.

my real issues at the moment is generating the sounds i want, i know what i want but i don't know how to use massive of fm8 properly yet. i can get the bass bit kind of but most of the good stuff i get is a fluke in all honesty. Its a bit frustrating as i get an idea but can't acomplsh it yet.

i've watched quite a lot on youtube which is great, but like i've experienced before, you only really get the good information in the forums

i'm a member of a few other (non-dubstep) forums so i knew the best thing to do is to speak to the good people of the internet :)

anyhow, thats my story. i'll look forward to seeing what this place is about.

btw from what i've seen this forum looks great

Cheers

Hello, I'm Max. My alias is Sewage Canal and I like old school Dubstep :D

Well I'm sure I'm a newcomer, seeing as I didn't know this thread existed! I've been part of this forum for a few days now.

Guess I'm a bit tardy introducing myself. I'm Brian, in a suburb outside of San Diego.

I got into dubstep through the UKF compilations, etc. that Amazon kept suggesting for me. Random, I know. Anyway, I like that stuff, and have been recently learning about/getting into Skream.

I've been into EDM production for awhile actually... if EDM production consists of noodling around in Reason 3 aimlessly, on and off, for a few years. :) I was never able to get the hang of making an actual whole song in Reason... which is why I (now) love ReNoise, which I use as a ReWire master for Reason (which I've since upgraded to 6.5).

I'm still learning a lot. The sticky-ed tutorial threads in this forum are quite awesome.

BTW, my producer alias—"Kromodynamik"—refers to Quantum Chromodynamics, or the study of Gluons and how they stop (or, at ultra-high temperatures, fail to stop) neutrons and protons from breaking apart into quarks. What that has to do with music, I don't know; I just thought it sounded really cool. :)
My sub-woofer recently enrolled in a self-help group. "Coping with dubstep"—I think it has PTSD, at this point...

Yo just signed up. Started making some stuff and putting it up on an old youtube channel then decided to make an official artist name. I make different stuff all throughout the electronic genre. Hopefully I can get around to making some trance, but....It's all about the dubstep right now :).

Hey, bass lovers!
A producer from Moldova here. I started making Hip Hop a couple of years ago, then I've been introduced to DnB, eventually starting creating DnB and Dubstep too :)
I hope to learn something new on this forum and meet people who are passionate about music just like me.
I also need to get some feedback on my work, for the moment I got only 2 tracks on Soundcloud, but there are plenty of tracks in my lab waiting to be released.
Cheers!
