Too many people get exploited on these limited vinyl releases.. Don't get me wrong, it is quite fun trying to tack one down before they sell out.. But I'm self employed and had to come home early to try and bag one of these.. I'd rather lose two hours of work and make it up tomorrow than pay 30quid on discogs come Friday.

I just don't understand... it's simple supply & demand... just press more! It's not like they aren't going to sell, their two of the biggest names in electronic music right now. You'd think they'd want people to be able to get hold of their music. That's the point of making it right? Because you want people to like it / buy it?

could be many factors involved though; wanting to keep it limited, cost, not knowing if it will sell or not (we all know, as consumers, that their records will sell, but as an artist it probably isn't something you think about.."yeah if i put this record out it'll sell out in like, 5 seconds because we're just THAT good"). They both came across as quite modest in that recent interview on RA, I reckon it's a combination of the things I mentioned.

Yeah that's all well and good, but at this point they do know that it will sell out within 5 seconds because they all do.

And if not, at least repress them, I'm not bothered about them being limited, I'd rather everyone got to enjoy the music.

I got up early today as on Chemical it says 17th its released.. still forthcoming. If I miss this after missing out on Ellipsis which I preordered well in advance and only found out the Redeye problem after they'd sold out everywhere else.. I may just sell my turntables and all my vinyl and play illegally downloaded vinyl rips on virtual dj with the sync button.

Edit: says stock avaliable from Wednesday afternoon now on Chemical (for sunklofree).

This sucks! I can see stuff like this massively discouraging the people keeping the vinyl scene alive.

in regards to the availability of Sunklofree, we are going to make sure the shelves are well stocked over the next couple weeks.. so no need to pay the extortionate prices on Discogs. Also, we'd like to say thanks for the support from everyone ... it means alot to us. x

Wasn't there some kind of post from Joy O where he said Sunklotuu wasn't going to be particularly limited? Yeah, we all know how that worked out...
But they've probably figured out by now that these releases are in very high demand and pressed more than on the last two occasions. Well, I'm 3/3 so far, not that worried about it being limited atm. :p

Been took off idle hands already..
Tried getting it but wouldn't show in the shopping cart then disappeared..
So I've ordered it from catapault last night, which blatantly ain't gonna come,
Ordered it from phonica but looked straight after and it said sold out so not holding high hopes,
Now missed it at idle hands..

Then to top it off, get an email from red eye saying my ellipsis pre order not fulfilled.. So yeah really good day on the limited vinyl front.. Who says vinyls dead?

Im pretty sure at phonica the stock is linked to the website, so if you bought it when it was in stock, then it would have been in stock as long as they get the correct amount. you probably got one of the last ones.
