Certainly doesn't seem to work on an iPad. Hopefully someone will be recording it and it'll end up on YouTube.

High Rankin is such a joker. Not many production tips aside from the whole growl-layering thing, but still an amusing sesh.

True. But he also gave a lot of advice on promotion and stuff too. Pretty cool.

also: He uses Massive A LOT (i haven't seen any other synth in that stuff) and he always did this pattern of having the 2nd osc with a bit of phasemod ; AND he uses a lot of scrap yard.

Yeah the promotion stuff was good, at least he knows what he's on about.
He used Razor as well, but just for pads, but yeah Massive is his staple synth - you can tell from all his tracks.

it was ok....

I lold when he is like "any questions?"

and the first question was: "how did you make that first growl bass?"

...."its a sample"

but i mean he did walk through a massive patch that was cool, but as usual, they dont give away any of their real secrets/methods, just basic stuff ie. layer your basses

Thing is he used a lot of samples... and that looks bad, but he'll have made them considering he runs a sample pack label. That growl is probably in one of them - I recognised a couple of the others he used since I have one of his packs

Pretty standard stuff - sort out your social networks, contact labels nicely (don't be a dick), be prepared for knockbacks and be prepared to wait a while, sort out your tunes (get the mastered and album art is good). He went on for like 5 minutes about how a lot of people are really cocky and submit tunes to labels/artists multiple times and are dicks about it.

Cheeky wrote:Ohmicides amazing, but its a bit like massive to me. Its like having a huge dick and not knowing what to do with it so it flops out of your shorts when your walking, it takes a while to buy the right pair of shorts to control the dick.
