Well, we are quite lucky.
It's easy to take London for granted when you're squashed up against people on a boiling hot tube, spending obscene amounts of money all the time, etc but I love the place.
Went to my 1st FWD>> on Friday...was going to go to DMZ but mate was double booked so we went to that instead and I loved it.
I refuse to believe DMZ can sound louder - there must be little between it. That was the first time my nose has tingled due to volume.
Read the thread on Crazy D - then saw him live for the first time. He was great - can't see why some were slating him.
Who was the group of MCs that came on when Tubby took to the decks?
I thought the queue would be a lot bigger, then again, I got in early doors and was one of the last to leave (in a shocking state).

Not that lucky - crap food, crap weather, mortgage payment to go out at night, trivial violence, general uptightness, so many rules and regulations they are living in a type of prison...
But ...
Fucking brilliant music though

well I'd rather be anywhere else at the moment
DUBSTEP is one of the only good things about the place.

crap food!?
maybe it's just the english blood in me but i loved the food over there.
i spent 3 1/2 months living in oxford and was into london every weekend nearly. i found the place amazingly safe compartively (never made it into any of the really rough places though, for good reason). in fact i had more problems with violence in oxford then i ever did in london.
there's just so much to do there on a daily basis i just cant see how people can slate it. but having not grown up there i don't have that every day perspective of judgement.
but if i did have a problem with it, it would be how damn expensive it is there...although covers for clubs&drinks was pretty decent compared to what i pay here stateside. especially dollar/talent ratio.

this is one of the reasons dubstep emerged, if it wasn't for our shite weather and stress we wouldn't have dubstep...guess we are lucky

the music in london is one of the main things that stops me from leaving, it's an amazingly powerful draw.

LOTS wrong with London at the moment, but the music scene really can't be beaten at all

Oh and there is some of the best food in the world. You just need to know where to look for it.
