Burial is playing on the soundsystem in the pub and I go over and ask if he's into Dubstep,

'errr, not really, it's alright I guess'.

Now I dunno if he thought I'd be uneducated and though that meant Skrillex or whether it's just too uncool to be associated with Dubstep now (I got the distinct impression, the latter). Just made me sad either way.
Never got that tbh. What's so bad about admiting you like dubstep? So what some dude you barely know thinks you're into Skrillex or Borgore or whatever. Big fucking deal.

Also annoying: "I listen to bass music at around 140 bpm" :6:
Innit. The whole episode just made sad.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

i just spent an hour explaining to a girl i know that i like dubstep but i dont like skrillex. she was all "i thought dubstep was robot noises blah blah" one of them. i showed her distance - delight, mala - unexpected, mala - sinners and some of my tunes, and she was breathtaken and is now texting me every 5 mins asking OMG HAVE YOU HEARD KROMESTAR PASS THE LIGHT OMG HAVE YOU HEARD SKREAM RIMZ haha. sometimes its good to explain exactly what you mean with music: ive just introduced someone to 'actual' dubstep and they fucking love it :h:
