You said that a good idea for budding producers was to read production mags and so forth.

Do you recommend any magazines, books (online or off) that would be good to suscribe to? Iunno, i would just like to get a mag each week that I'd def learn one new trick every week, even if its something basic like mixing a hithat.

What would you suggest?

in a previous post he said future music, sound on sound and computer music were the three that he stated. Re read his post 'cause I believe it was in that same post that he recommended reading production magazines

I think I might be a little late for this thread but whatever. Im from vancouver BC and just want to know, how would you go about creating ambient soundscapes?? Would Foley/Field recording be the best way to achieve this?? Also what would you recommend for getting random sci fi percussion type sounds??

What makes a track sound pro? What can you do so when someone hears your track they don't
immediately think "Bedroom producer."

Better way to say it I guess...Are you ever going to collab with any Circus Records members/Owsla members. Like a Downlink & Zedd track haha, I don't know what the fk would come out of that.

4.How long does it take you to make that "golden 16-bar loop"/How long does it take for you to finish a track you'd say?(Hours) Counting the tom-foolery/sitting there like..."fuck" (It feels like you have to spend over 10hours+ to get it Fin...for just a 16-bar, but most of dsf users seem like they make their tracks in a day like spic-and-span but the quality is still shit) <--no offense just being honest here.

5.Do you Ozone(Excited/Dynamics/EQ) your individual tracks + Ozone the Master? Or just Ozone the master?

Didn't have a job for that whole year so I just sat in my basement learning constantly! Slowed down a bit though...I was wondering if there are any other success stories you know(like Dillon Francis) that got taught the ins-n-outs of a DAW/Production from a Pro and became big! I wish someone would teach me!(guess it's all secrets/got to find out on your own). You're probably the only producer I've seen on Google that has spilt a shit ton of production beans. 8. Anymore Moombahcore/Jump-Up(faster-tempo sounding) shit? the 2nd part of Existence VIP was unexpected/sick as fuck.

I definitely went through a phase where I wasn't happy enough with my stuff to try to get it released. Years actually hahahahaa. Anyways it got to the point where I was mostly just working on techniques and developing my sound and approach instead of actually finishing songs. Once I felt that I had developed my skills and sounds enough, I began finishing songs off and then started putting my stuff out there.

Thanks man, its surreal to me sometimes when I'm standing on stage in front of thousands of people. I pinch myself often :)

This is exactly what I have been doing. Just working on techniques and watching a shit ton of tutorials. Lurking in the forums. I used to rush tracks and post everything for people to listen to right away. I haven't finished a song in a while but my techniques and overall sound has come a long way. What good is a track if the sounds are all shyte?
