Re: Fallout New Vegas
Got banned from the Gomorrah (9000) and Ultra-Luxe (11000) last night. Added to my harvesting body armour from the Gun Runners guards and running through the Fiends around Vault 3 for their gear, I ended with something like 30k.

The Katana all moded out is pretty sick.
Can't wait to get back on this.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
If you get the Melee Hacker perk (level 1 = kill 125 enemies with melee weapons, level 2 = inflict 10,000 damage with melee weapons) you get a 5% and 10% boost to melee attack speed respectivelykruptah wrote:The Katana all moded out is pretty sick.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
you guys should seriously consider getting it on pc. its endlessly more fun
the project nevada mod makes the game so much more challenging and rewarding.
for example, you can tweak the xp gained, perks gained per level and loot drop chances.
i'm playing on very hard hardcore with 50% less experience gained, but i get a perk every level.
and i have tons more perks (150+) and none of them are unbalanced.
plus with nmcs texture pack my game looks unbelievable.

i sound like a walking advert but it really is that much better on pc.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
I'm only playing it on xBox
Re: Fallout New Vegas
Yeah my PC can't handle it. As if to make things worse the game just crashed and wiped my Auto-save, had only used one save which is right at the beginning. Gutted. Altho, i kinda don't mind goin bak and making another character and I'll do that luck thing this time

Re: Fallout New Vegas
Go for Luck 8 as a starting stat...you can boost it to 9 later with the Luck Implant from the Clinic, and the Lucky Shades item gives a further +1 if you need it.node wrote:Yeah my PC can't handle it. I sacrificed Strength to get it up to that, which means you'll be able to carry less...but this is offset by having ED-E and another companion to help carry shit.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
So boost repair or science quite a bit as well? Ye I put it on 8..We shall see, maybe the crash was meant to be...defo saving more often this time tho lol

Re: Fallout New Vegas
I think I had Guns, Speech and Lockpick as my tag skills as standard. Though I choose the Tag perk later on as a level advance and put it on Science to get it up to 100 (around level 16, I think).node wrote:So boost repair or science quite a bit as well? Re: Fallout New Vegas
Repair is the essential skill i always tag. At least weapons and armour dont degrade as rapidly as they did in fallout 3.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
I'd have preferred if they'd kept the FO3 system of having your Repair skill directly affect what % condition you can repair something to. Now it just seems I'm wandering around with 100% condition stuff most of the time just from Fiend harvesting every couple of days or so.JBoy wrote:Repair is the essential skill i always tag. Re: Fallout New Vegas
It was so annoying when you fired a weapon ten or so times and it degraded to half of its condition. Also those unique items that could only be repaired by merchants and almost all of them couldnt repair futher than 50%.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
If you Speech checked Moira at the start you could convince her the Wasteland Survival Guide was a stupid idea, and she gives up on it (losing the quest options) but her Repair skill jumps to like 80 as she focuses on that insteadJBoy wrote:It was so annoying when you fired a weapon ten or so times and it degraded to half of its condition. And the guy in point lookout, forgot about him actually.

He caught me stealing from his store so I had to beat him to death with the manure shovel.JBoy wrote:And the guy in point lookout, forgot about him actually.
