Lovin' how the intro descends into some heavy melodic synth, I thought that was pretty cool ^_^

Liking the snare too, it just needs a bit more punch, same with the kick. You've definitely got potential man :4:

So I'm trying to side chain this bass to the drums so thy stand out more, any tips on that? I'm finding it difficult to get it right, between the sub and the lead wobble. Also, how can I layer/EQ my kicks and snare so they don't get drowned out. It's there specific way they need to be done? Cause so far everything I've tried sounds like trash.

I'm trying to build more tension before my drop but I'm pretty inexperienced, any tips to make it more tense?

I'm working on another tune right now, very old skool skream inspired, and Ive really been looking for a way to EQ everything so my drums stand out next to the superlow sub and metal-like lead bass.

I really dug those heavier wobbles man, impressive for a first track. If you ever re-do this track and there's one thing I'd suggest you'd keep, it'd be those wobbles.
You should try EQing your drums, and just work on mastering over all.
Massive is definately worth investing in, I really reccommend getting it if you weren't already using it, I couldn't tell haha.
Also, the pre-drop melody contrasts too much with the drop to layer them, it sounds funny, and infact I actually didn't like it that much.
(ALSO, I thought the title of this thread is hilareous and that's mainly why I'm here haha)

Hope this helps!

No worries dude, Ive messaged you a link for an e-book on mixing and mastering to download (for when you have internet) I found the section on compression incredibly helpful. Enjoy

Interesting sound you got there mate.
I would eq a little bit of bottom end off the hats not too much though. add some panning, delay and reverb to give them some space too.
as said above i think you need a more punchy snare with some more 'oomph' around 200hz boost it there and use a compressor too.

this could be pretty nice if you cleaned/tightened it up a bit especially for a first track.

I appreciate everyones kind words and feedback! A week ago my Mac crashed and it looks like a logic board failure so it's gonna be awhile before I can produce again. Hopefully it doesn't take too long but we will see. Thanks again for taking the time to help a noobie out and I really do appreciate it.

So as I said before my computer crashed and I lost all my projects, is there any way to download this track from my soundcloud and work on it from just the WAV? Idk

hey,

I really like what you've done...is very catchy...I love the shaker/scratch sounds from the very start that grabs you...i'd probably say develop the sounds of the synths more, make everything tighter eq wise....really its pretty damn good though, who am i to say...

check this guys out to see what you think, let me know...
