Has everyone noticed that you can see everything live on the iPlayer? The BBC are running like 15 live channels at the moment!

And that "restart current programme" option just fucking came into it's own. This is amazing.

I'm really not a fan of the arctic monkeys at all but I enjoyed their performance.

I was surprised to not hear any Led Zep or Sabbath in with all the influential british music :? British people should be extremely proud of inventing heavy metal imo haha

can somebody explain all this post-cycling "everyone was against us" stuff? I don't really understand the sport properly and can't work out how the other nations supposedly made it impossible for Britain to win?

britain have cavendish- the fastest sprinter in the world by quite a way (only greipel of Germany can get near him) aswell as a strong team to help him.

Being the favourites, many of the other teams attacked again and again to affect a breakaway and prevent a bunch finish with only germany helping slightly to pull the attacks back. By the last time up Box Hill, the British team were spent from all the chasing (its much easier to ride in the back of the peleton than at the front as Britain were doing) and they couldn't pull the breakaway back made up of fresh riders desperately working together to avoid being caught by the British, as they wouldn't have a chance- only going for the win in the last 5-10 km when they knew they were safe.
