regarding the victor thing, i thought he was alluding towards killing mike. i dont remember exactly what he said tht made me think that but i remember thinking thats what he meant.therapist wrote:SPOILERS; obviously, but no-one reads this thread if they haven't seen up to date episodes, right?
For me, Scarface is trying to explain how Skyler sees Walt and how she sees this all ending up, the reason behind her 'breakdown' rather than a nod towards the finale.
The stuff with Walt getting Jesse to break up with Andrea was dark. I didn't realise he was doing that until Jesse said it. I guess that was the idea.
What do people make of what Walt was saying at the end about Victor/Icarus?

it was a glaring threat towards Jesse
Walt isn't happy with the amount of money he's getting, Mike is necessary for everything but the cook, Jesse isn't.
Walt's turning megalomaniacal, which is exactly why Mike didn't want to work with him
Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
I don't know why the shit they involved Jesses two dipshit friends, those two could fuck up a piss up in a brewery. Also I recon those bug men are going to do another b&e.

I also think it was Walt deliberately tormenting her. I think he gets a kick out of pushing all her buttons as much as he can, knowing she won't leave. He was really pushing it in her face, while pretending to be oblivious to what he's doing to her.therapist wrote:SPOILERS; obviously, but no-one reads this thread if they haven't seen up to date episodes, right?

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
possible, but i reckon it could easily be the double-bluff. let it go for all out carnage and make it all about the leadup rather than making the ending mean everything. The Tornado wrote: The whole Scarface thing is a red herring IMO. BB is too smart of a show to end with an all-out gun battle.
Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
just started watching this 2 weeks ago, halfway through season 2 and I'm loving it!
Best moments - everything with Tuco, Walt telling that kid in his class not to bullshit a bullshitter (I felt like this was a strong indicator of his character growth and a new outlook), the hilarious scene with Badger getting done by that kid pretending not to be a cop. Oh and Turtle's head on the back of a turtle, then getting blown up!
Worst moments - most scenes that have Hank and Walt in the same room. Walt's awkwardness is something I really feel Hank wouldn't be so oblivious to and I think it's a bit overdone.

SPOILER
I'm not the only one who's noticed Hank suddenly getting an idea when that other dude mentioned Gus' double life as a friend/druglord, right?

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
What's most amazing about the show is how all these different characters get caught up in Walt's bullshit.
The kids don't know.
Skylar feels like she has to.
Jesse blindly trusts Walt and years for his approval too much to see what's going on.
Hank's a cop who's unknowingly chasing him.. ended up wheelchair bound and losing some of his friends.
Gus respected him as a genius and wanted to get the most he can out of that genius.
Saul is too much of a leech to care.
Mike is desperate to take care of his grandaughter, even though he's fully aware of what a ticking time bomb Walt is.. etc etc (similar to Skylar, but with a different spin on it)
I think that's what I like the most about the show. How Walt's slowly killing himself with his ego that he finally got back after feeling like a useless turd who got fucked out of everything (who probably felt enslaved to his gorgeous and smart wife because that's the only thing "he had" that validated his ego, hence why he's being so dominant now and pushing her buttons, he finally likes feelign in charge of the relationship and does everything that he can to push her away, knowing she'll stay), and the different ways people go down with him.

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
^ So true, Walt started as a nobody and now he's the puppet master
Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
That's what he likes to believe anyway. After feeling like he was thrown around like a ragdoll by life, he finally feels like he's in control. But I think by the end of the series, that fantasy will collapse on him.djekos wrote:^ So true, Walt started as a nobody and now he's the puppet master
Atm, the real guy behind the operation is Mike, and Walt knows this (AWESOME to pair them, by the way, God, genius). But he's living in a bubble where he's the boss.
Edit: that's actually pretty genius about the show too :0 like, you KNOW they were just working towards making Walt the new Tuco/Gus/etc, but at the end of the day, all that really happened is that Walt started to LIVE under the illusion that he's the new Gus.
He's still broke, he's still a broken man, he's still working for someone else. He's still the wasted genius with no control of his life that he was at the start of the show. The only difference is that he BELIEVES he's in charge, and that BELIEF alone is powerful enough to completely change his behavior.
The power of thought!

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
^ very well put, I got the feeling in the last episodes that his gangster attitude was a bit forced sometimes but in the end this is just part of his fantasy. I really can't wait to see it all collapse!

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
How about when he was unpacking his things, noticed Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass," and smirked as if to say "Remember when I had Gale killed? Good times, man."
Sick motherfucker.
Sick motherfucker.

I can't remember much of the last season at all, but whether he was or not, it deff got him thinking. Though I think there was a hint earlier this season too where he was thinking of Walt. Can't remember what part though. The whole thing sorta blurs together for menoam wrote:i think Hank's been suspicious of Walt for a long time tbfGenevieve wrote:SPOILER

Re: BREAKING BAD!!!!!
Oh yes, I love this show! I just finished season four, and I must say, what a banger of a show! The CGI is great, I love the moody atmosphere, the acting, the environment.
