I NEED CRITICISM (Linkin Park Remix)

This is my first track and I need some constructive criticism. This is my remix of Linkin Park's Numb.

That was pretty horrendous listening. Chester's vocal samples aren't lined up properly with the beat and sound massively off in places. Your main synth melody is paper thin (would suggest some layering to beef it up). Same for the drums, your kick/snare/percussion are very weak to the point of sounding a bit Casio keyboard. More layering would help here.

The midrange wobble bass is very generic sounding, lacks movement, and takes over the tune once it arrives.

It's for logic, but the same principle applies.

I'd look at layering your samples as opposed to just going to a sample pack. That being said, these are all good and might be what you're after;

If you go down the layering route, you're basically taking multiple drum samples (e.g. the kick) with different attributes. For example, if you had one with a lot of low end thud, you could layer it with one that a bit more mid range punch to create a Superkick™.

This technique is a lot of trial, error & EQing, but if you get the hang of it (and it is worth getting the hang of), then you can create your own sounds more easily with what you've got.

You are so awesome! Such a great help! How long have you been in this kind of stuff? Also stereo wise, how much should the main synth take up in the stereo field approximately?
