Kinda felt bad for the Russian girl, but that Squirrel is about to become very famous indeed.

I reckon we might have a little medal shout in the Men's individuals... Louis Smith's horse qualification was brilliant.

Beth Vs Gabby on bars is going to be savage... I reckon it'll go to Gabby, but it'd be a shame for Tweddle not to get some home glory... she's carried that team for years! Still, Gymnastics is the best bit of the Olympics again. Utter fucking freaks. Amazing!

Yeah, I didn't quite understand that.

What was the "countback" (or something?) thing all about?

But then, he was up after the first and second rounds... the Ukrainian was coming from behind, so I guess in the event of a tie the Brit boxed better overall.

I thought there was more than a point in that last round though!

have to say... i much prefer the style of, say, the russian or especially the japanese team, over that of the americans. if they're going to get all dolled up in those ridiculous glittery leotards and mass amounts of mismatched eyeshadow, might as well have some element of grace rather than sheer attack in your approach to the sport.

the russian chick's beam routine b2b floor... OMG. can tell she's had years of ballet training/torture. that one bit where she jumped up on beam arching her back, bringing her legs behind her and literally touching her toes to her head in mid-air, before landing on a mother fucking balance beam.... insanity.

Agreed...considering it's artistic gymnastics you'd expect a bit more reward for grace. The Russian girl's beam was a thing of beauty... the little leaps maybe more than the big tumbles!

But i wonder if Gabby's just a bit spindley to appear that graceful... she's actually pretty light on the feet for such a tall girl!

Gb would have beaten Spain in the Basketball if it wasnt for missing so many free throws......or not being able to foul in the last few seconds. Was unlucky. USA match was stupid though. Might as well just have had a training session and sold tickets.

Next time Kromowidjojo actually needs some people to swim against, otherwise we'll never see
some records.

Funny how it looks like the US is going in for deep threes every time, never knew the line was actually closer in the olympics.
It's like 4 feet of difference.
