OK I know there are some bad omissions... something like this there'll always be some vital thing you wake up in the night realising you missed... but anyway (click for full size):

This is a cool poster, I bet it was hard to fit together visually.

Re: The Mixmag Dubstep Family Tree
you'd never make everyone happy doing something like this, so its loaded from the start. that said, its a good thing for all the new heads! i guess dubway's blog, the start of DSF and barefiles, aren't important enough for you to consider mentioning? where's the rinse forum mention? there's also several european & american parties that were critically important, and shouldn't be left out.
in 2006-2007, the only place to get mixes was barefiles. that site's contribution in the timeline of things is enormous.

Yep hands up those were all vital. In terms of artists, the omission of Anti Social in general is pretty glaring too.seckle wrote:you'd never make everyone happy doing something like this, so its loaded from the start. that said, its a good thing for all the new heads! i guess dubway's blog, the start of DSF and barefiles, aren't important enough for you to consider mentioning? where's the rinse forum mention? there's also several european & american parties that were critically important, and shouldn't be left out.

You can almost draw a straight line horizontally across that map when Dubstep turned into D&B.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.
