If he did stay he'd get destroyed by the crowd. They should have just accepted Juventus' low offer.

Cazorla looks quality, lets hope he's not Reyes 2

What crowd?

It doesn't happen, when a really good player threatens to leave but doesn't they very rarely get a hard time. Henry didn't nor Vieira nor Rooney not even Tevez

Would depened on why he stays. If he's forced to stay beacuse Arsenal won't deal with Utd i think he'd get grief.

His situation is different to all those other players. Arsenal have stuck by him through his 7 years of constant injuries, then after 1 good season he tries to leave and join our rivals

Henry and Viera both left because they wanted to win a champions league, but had the decency to go abroad. Rooney was never leaving, he just blackmailed the club for a better contract

Owch. Come support Palace. Season tickets are probably half the cost of that, and you dont have to worry about being on a waiting list. Good transport links and lots of friendly local pubs.

Rooney got loads of stick outside his house during the fall out with Ferguson.

van Persie's a class player and not an idiot, if he stays he'll be sure to make the correctr sounds. It's dead rare for good players to get dogs abuse we had dickhead Liverpool fans abusing Gerrard when he was supposed to be going to Chelsea but nothing but support in the ground when it failed to go through.

TBH if fans are stupid enough to give grief to their better players while they are on the pitch they probably deserve the player to fuck off.

If he'd gone to Juventus i wouldn't have cared, but to move to Utd, that's like Gerrard having the season of his career then suddenly announcing he's off to Everton.

Well we tend to win more than Everton and Manchester Utd tend to win more than Arsenal so it's hardly a fair comparison. Maybe if he went to spurs or something.

If he doesn't go he doesn't go, you have a responsiblity as a fan to support your team to encourage them and get behind them, call him a dick in the pub or at half time or before kick off but not during the match. It hurts you and so is counter productive.

I get how fucked off you are, I would have much preferred Torres to fuck off to Spain rather than going to Chelsea but if for whatever reason it had fell through I'd have been supporting him at the next match.

Speaking of players coming or going, spurs are playing a dangerous game with Modric. If they price him out of a move again theres no guarantee he'll keep putting the effort in like last season.

I always think with these players its best to just let them go

There's not much to be gained by having a player around who doesn't want to be there

there is if it stops him going to a rival club. Especially if you are Arsenal.

I get the sentiment but disagree especially when you're only delaying it for 12 months. Having a player run the last year of their contract down when you're Arsenal with your transfer strategy is a dangerous game to be playing. If it's going to disrupt the squad and deny yourselves the opportunity to cash in and use the money to replace him I don't think it makes sense.

Your opponents will still strengthen the position so they'll still be stronger relative to you and you won't get the cash to address that shift. He can still go there 12 months later.
