Pearson Sound - Clutch
Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
i think it's a good sign if a tune inspires this much debate
an all new ep of Pearson Sound on Hessle has to be a release worth checking seriously
i will be look forward to listening in a shop when it drops, cash ready

Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
sounds really good to me and its nice to see him movin away from the style he's built up over the last few years. i wonder if that beatless piece from the recent hessle shows will be one of the tracks.

I think he means like, how do you know this tune is something he is not, he could have been making beats like this for years, just never released them to the public. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I dont get how this is what he is not, it definitely sounds like pearson sound to me. If he wants to make a bit of a random wacky beat tune, then why should he not, just cos his lastest releases have been straight up club arranged beats?cakeplz wrote:production wise obvufo over easy wrote:oh are you guys pals? tell him ben says whats upcakeplz wrote:tryin to be something he's not

Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
thats def true - infact it reminds me a bit of some of his other tunes - the radiohead remix and blue eyes with the unhinged percussion crazy sections spring to mind lolskimpi wrote:I think he means like, how do you know this tune is something he is not, he could have been making beats like this for years, just never released them to the public. Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
Or maybe hes just trying out a diff sound? Trying to go in a different direction? Is that such a horrible thing?
I don't recall people saying Mala is trying to be something hes not with the new cuba thing. If it wasn't for people trying different things and pushing different sounds music wouldn't exist.
Sorta reminds me of 2562, its definitely growing on me.. will cop the release!

even if clutch was utter SHIT (we're lucky it's far from it), props to him for doing something different. never discourage innovation

Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
regardless i'll be pre-ordering this as soon as it's available on redeye. i was just saying, i don't think it's a very strong style for him, and while it may be new territory for him, it gave me the impression of being derivative, which is something i'd never think i would think about david kennedy

Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
i have so much known davie k since he was in little pampers nappies and i am also confident that he has changed perhaps and maybe he is the one who is also changing nappies these days? it has been so long and it is so MUCH of a possibility that the man has a little davie K child today as well.cakeplz wrote:regardless i'll be pre-ordering this as soon as it's available on redeye. i was just saying, i don't think it's a very strong style for him, and while it may be new territory for him, it gave me the impression of being derivative, which is something i'd never think i would think about david kennedy
there is not as much proof as i would like to have to make proof of this though

Re: Pearson Sound - Clutch
Been waiting on something fresh from Pearson, exciting times.
I want more Maurice madness, would be great if he did some gigs under his Donovan moniker
