How to get my vocal sample in sync with the song BPM?

Hello, i'm fairly new to producing so just bear with me on this.
I'm entering a remix competition for the first time. I downloaded the remix pack which had the bassline, lead, vox etc. And the bpm of the original song is 128. Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought the bpm of these bass, lead and vox sample would be same i.e. 128 bpm? But when i load the vocal sample to ableton the vocals seem to be running a lot faster than what they should be even at 120 bpm. According to ableton the bpm of the vox is around 84.5. What i want to know is how to get this in sync if i wanted to make a 140 bpm dubstep track and not make it sound fast and high pitched. I guess i'm talking something about time stretching or warping. I looked a bit up but can't figure it out. I'm a n00b.

DAW = the name of the production software your using, just encase your that new.

sometimes albeton or w/e other program your using will get the initial bpm wrong
so youll have to put in the bpm yourself manually so that it will timestretch appropriately;)

A quick google search can help you find the bpm of the song and that should make your transition between bpms smooth

if you have a dj software like traktor, its pretty easy to beatmatch the stems to a desired bpm but remember to lock the pitch knob so it won't change its pitch when stretched or 'squeezed'

You dont need to know the bpm of the clip.
Just count to see how meany beats or bars it is and then strech it to that size.

If its not a simple number then find the first beat and cut the clip there then loop it and adjust then end of the clip till it loops perfectly. Best way to do that is to count the beats in your head while its playing and adjust the end of the clip untill it loops pefectly on the beat. If the loop starts to soon the make the end longer and vice versa.

I was able to figure this out. The bpm of the original was 128. So just a simple click on warp feature on ableton fixed the vocals for me.
