One of my first shifts in a&e as a student nurse, a blue light emergency comes in, a heroin addict with the worst leg ulcers I've ever seen on both legs. Most areas covered in dead black skin, other yellowy mess and worn away so much you could see the bone (probably old injection sites where the blood supply had died), the smell was horrificly intense and gag inducing.
The sounds of her very loud blood curdling crying, shrieking, shaking all around the bed, shouting and getting violeng with staff all for her methedone was probably the most disturbing part. All the while the stress of having doctors shouting for you to do things you aren't overly competent in doing. Not sure if it's the MOST disturbing thing I've ever seen, but it will definitely stay with me.

Didn`t watch the London Olympics opener but I`m on a farm right now and some chickens got killed, hung upside down and got their throats slit...
Also, we get dead deer delivered but opening that up was just like gutting a fish... a bit more disturbing was it hanging upside down from a gutter while it was skinned before being portioned up, though that was like normal cooking by then (though with a shit load more meat).
Now I`ve realised that`s just life, as well as death

The violent gory ones are pretty bad and curiosity always got the better of me. The worst one i've ever seen which i regret clicking on so so bad & which truly left me feeling empty for a week or so was this african child about 7/8 being dragged over to a grave kicking and screaming and then buried alive for sacrifice. The crying truly fucked me up and now i'm almost desensitised to all those beheading & army ones. Don't try and find it.

My mums been a nurse for more than 30 years and she's got some pretty horrendous stories. One that i seem to remember was of this old woman who was brought in with a leg ulcer.. she was very old, had lost her marbles, had no family and on top was a serious alcoholic.Liam92 wrote:One of my first shifts in a&e as a student nurse, a blue light emergency comes in, a heroin addict with the worst leg ulcers I've ever seen on both legs. It turns out that she had a jack russell that had been eating the leg and ulcer until all that was left was a bone and a few strands of flesh.
There's more messed up stuff such as suicidal female patients shoving razor blades in there vaginas etc.. and lots of dirty middle aged blokes who have random objects stuck where the sun don't shine.
I tend to avoid looking at messed up stuff as best i can.

It's been mentioned once in this thread and that's all i'm gonna say.idontreallygiveashit wrote:^ In real life? I can't even imagine what that must feel like.
hmmm... now i'm getting this curiosity, not to watch it or to know the name of the video or anything, but what sort of thing would have this effect on a person?kingldub wrote:There's a lot of horrible shit floating around out there and I'm ashamed to say that curiosity has got the best of me on a few occasions. I'm not even gonna name the video that fucked me up because there's always a chance someone will search for it and up feeling like shit for a good while after viewing.

Either when I saw my mate get run over (we were in the car behind) and all the police/mental-health/ambulance/family shit which ensued afterwards, or when I broke my leg and spent 12 hours in hospital with no painkillers looking at my kneecap flipped round 90 degrees. Rusko's nipple comes in third.

Unless your a medical professional you wouldn't able to achieve such good incisions, let alone live through all that blood loss.

I saw someone get shot in the head, literally metres from me near the shopping centre in Wood Green. I was 8 at the time and 11 years on i still have recurring nightmares.
Also saw someone jump off suicide bridge in Archway whilst driving underneath. Luckily didn't see the landing. For those that don't know its quite high up. Here's the view from the top.

Re: What's The Worst/Most Disturbing Thing You've Seen?
the most distressing thing I've seen online is probably this clip of a man being beaten to death by a mob of people. they surround him, kicking him in the head, tearing at his clothes and someone throws him into a moving car.
the video culminates in the bloke having some sort of table smashed on top of him while he's lying on the floor and him being set on fire (for a second time). the people stand around filming it on cameras/phones etc and when he eventually stops moving they pile the wood on him like a bonfire.
I was just about in tears.
