[FAQ] Where to get drum samples?

Post by BeatsPerPony » Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:16 pm

Hi there, I have a question for everyone here, please help?

For the past few months I've been using the drum packages FL studio has provided me and they don't sound very nice and deep at all... in fact they are horrible...
So my question is what Drum packages or drum loop plug-in do you use?
and what do you think the best and highly recommended?

please help :<

I wouldn't lump all loopmasters packs into brostep... The deep house one is great :)

Look for some Roland 808/909 samples or sample packs. These usually layer well with other drums.

Thank you all!
uhh, well I'm more of a heavy bass kinda guy, basically skrillex type, and I didn't really think the drum pack FL provided was good at all, even with ohmicide plugged in didn't make much difference :S

Thanks again to all!

Look for the 5Pin Media - Dubstep Drums pack. It's pretty awesome and punchy! Also, Vengeance Dubstep Essentials is amazing!

Try layering sounds, that always leads to some places you would've never thought you'd see... or hear :)

You could check out Vengeance Sample Packs if you're willing to pay for them.
http://www.vengeance-sound.com/

They've got some real top-notch samples. Super high quality.

You can also check out Boyinaband's samples. They're free :D

Goodluck~ Hope i helped.

EDIT: Did more googling, Found out that these are pretty good too.

Someone in another thread was bigging up some pop hit kit that sounded really awesome. I just got the gold baby tape808 pack and it's brilliant
