Haha, I'm the exact opposite. Kid A was good, but OK Computer's the only Radiohead album I still bother listening to. The Bends can fuck right off.
WHAT.

sorry, no. the bends is amazing. granted it's fairly straightforward musically (the shame!) but it has Street Spirit on it ffs. as well as my iron lung, bones, the bends, bulletproof...

no. no.

NO.

It's just because it's the iconic grunge album that it gets so much hype.

I also like in rainbows, it was the album that got me in to radiohead so I owe some gratitude!

Maybe I was being a little bit extreme.

I'll give you Street Spirit, but when The Bends came out I filed them under "another indie band with some good singles" and carried on listening to my NOFX tapes - it wasn't really my scene and I don't think I realised how far indie would fall at that point... I mean, The Bends is still better than most guitar albums released in the last 20 years... but when I first heard Exit Music For A Film and Paranoid Android the top of my brain fell out.

I think I'm just not clever enough for Kid A. :(

On nirvana.

Nevermind has some amazing song writing but it's a little too clean and had been hyped to the point it's hard to live up to it's reputation. In utero is my favorite from them

some of kid a is a bit hard to get into but the National Anthem i always loved that bass line, and How To Disappear Completely is a strong contender for their best track ever. Idioteque is strong electronica, In Limbo is... interesting. From the way people say how cerebral it is you'd think it would be less accessible than it is imo.

fair enough though, the bends is not like their other output at all.

but let's not turn this into a Radiohead album comparisons thread...

No one ever talks about Hail to the thief, i think the media had gone off them a bit when it came out after Kid A and Amnesiac so it hardly had any hype. I thought it was pretty good

I can understand the Beatles not being someone's thing, but I really don't know how someone can truly hate them. I mean you can't honestly listen to, say, Abbey Road and be like "this is terrible music"

Plenty of people dont like the beatles but you cant deny their huge influence on music, music today would be very different if the beatles never existed

I definitely respect what they have done for music...but I can't stand there music. Although the movie Help is brilliant.

Never Mind = Overrated by the mainstream, Underrated by Nirvana fans.

The Beatles have made such a wide range of music that I find it hard to believe anyone really thinks it's all "trash", but fair enough... it's hard to deny they changed the game... and they were the Chemical Brothers four years before the Chemical Brothers were even born too:

it took me a long time to get into hail to the thief but its solid.

i haven't listened to radiohead properly for ages, might have to have another "phase" :corndance:

i like a few beatles tracks, but never had the urge to bother with them tbh. all about happiness is a warm gun

The First Kasabian album.
Apparently this was so overrated that I actually paid money for it despite it being a lager-can indie album released in the 00s... I think I probably played it once. Rubbish.

Dilla - Donuts
Not in any way shit in the slightest, in fact, it's pretty bloody good, but it's definitely overrated to heeeeeelll.

Pendulum - Hold Your Colour
If you put a sticker on your album calling the music "Stadium [insert genre]" you're overrated before you've even sold anything. GTFO with your fucking keytars too.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
More than passably decent but no way worthy of the praise it got and still seems to get.
