I can understand why people would like them, but the whole Whippin Picadilly era of publicity for them left a sour taste in my mouth, then Basement Jaxx brought out Remedy and I moved away from guitars altogether for a while.

Also, what I've seen people say of the new Smashing Pumpkins album, I was genuinely stoked when I saw so many die hard fans say such good things about the songs that were gonna be on it. After I listened to it... come on.

Never really understood the hype on this. Blue Lines and Protection most-assuredly-fuck-yes, but Mezzanine seemed to make it into all the "Best Albums Ever" lists and it was pretty mediocre compared to the rest of their work.
