Yeah, but he's been off for ages. I bare no ill will towards Modric, he's been fantastic for us. The only thing which confuses me is that, out of all clubs everywhere, Spurs is deffo one place to be at the minute. We're a growing team, bring the pain every season, for sure a well-earned trophy is in the close future.

And we're packed with talent in midfield. Huddlestone is technically as good as Modric, I think.

Huddleston has no pace and the turning circle of the Titanic. Modric was technically good and mobile.

Spurs might win one of the cups but no chance of anything more. Same with Liverpool and Arsenal

Have fun. The only thing stopping me attending is the
fact it's my bro's wedding... I was even contemplating
NOT going to the party afterwards so I could go to the
game. My GF would kill me though, as would my parents.

COME ON ARSENAL!

Saw on Sky Sports that he has gone on strike. Well at least that was what I thought it said, was in the pub, no sound etc. If true though it's pretty disappointing. Was a big fan of Dempsey but refusing to play for your team to get a move is pretty disgusting behaviour.

Apologies if it is nonsense. :6:

edit: it seems he has refused to play indeed.

City making a tidy comeback. Not all great tho with that scoreline. Much different to the 4-0 drumming of newly promoted Swansea last season...

Was proper impressed with Saints' performance yesterday, thought we were going to get hammered TBH.

Weak penalty to give away early on, proper PowerLeague mistake from Hooiveld, silly mistake and we were lucky Silva scuffed his shot. Impressed with both Lambert and Davies coming off the bench to score, Ward-Prowse was quality on his debut, really mature performance all things considered.

We had a good spell for about 20mins down the left hand side prior to the goals too, City were weak trying to stop us at times. Scoreline was inevitable, but overall properly happy with what was a very difficult first game.

And Wigan at home next week

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it,

because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Saints looked decent, yeah... shame they couldn't just hang on for that point.

Arsenal looked bright... I'm hoping it was just one-of-those-games for finishing, but I'm sure everyone else was thinking "RvP would've found something..." by the end.

With any luck an earthquake in Manchester tonight.

Based on that performance, I wouldn't be surprised if Saints finished mid table. Pretty sure they will stay up!

Liverpool on the other hand....

Arsenal were disappointing but wasn't too bad, not as disappointing as all the over-expectant, booing tossers at the emirates who only bother making some noise when things are going our way. We are gonna need a bit of time to integrate the new boys, all 3 of them showed flashes of quality. Sahin in for Song too, might actually be a good move, especially if we end up getting another replacement as well (M'Vila?)

Cazorla looked a quality player, not convinced by Podolski or Giroud.
Walcott was at his absolute worst.

Booing after the 1st game of the season is ridiculous

yeah walcott was not good. still got hope for him this year.
Gervinho on the other hand was hard-working and dangerous, tipping him to have a big season this year
