M-Audio Trigger Finger with Traktor?

Post by matb123 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 11:06 pm

What are everyone's views on this? I am thinking of getting this just to trigger and control some effects on traktor, ie to turn on effects using the pads of to trigger of samples using the pads and to adjust the dry/wet of some parameters with the knobs as the traktor s2 doesn't have as many controls as i would have liked. I have noticed though that they aren't being sold anymore and are also very rare to find and wondering if there is a reason for this?

If anyone has any other suggestions for midi controllers that aren't too expensive? Must have both rotarys and pads/buttons.

Thanks all!! :)

Just get an akai mpd. Not really worth it to hunt down a discontinued product. Sorry I don't know much about traktor but your idea sounds cool.

M-Audio stopped making them a few years back when they were succeeded by their move into virtual DJing controls. The only reason people 'value' the TriggerFinger is because Skrill is a user and they think buying one will make them sound like him

This. Or a Korg PadKontrol if you'd prefer an XY pad to more rotaries/sliders.

i have a mpd 32 that I used to use with traktor. Knobs and faders were used for mixer controls/ effects.
The pads were used to trigger cue points/samples.

Faders all suck on those things, but they are perfect for what your asking for.
