I thought its about time I upgraded; I had 'pro' for a year because I was one of the early beta testers and I am wondering what package to get.


Obviously Lite is the best for everyones pocket but what I am concerned about is stats - are they MUCH better than the free account? I want to see who listened/downloaded/favourited my stuff; so will Lite do this?

If not i'll probably for the solo deal.

At the moment with Free you get track breakdown.

With Solo you get People Stats showing where folk are located;



And with Pro you get Sources showing what URLs they're listening from, where you stuff is being linked from/embedded etc;





So to answer your question, no Lite won't give you anything more.

I used have Lite more than a year ago, so yes, you get to see who listened, downloaded and favorited your tracks. Solo also shows you where your listeners are located.

I have lite, I love being able to re-upload a track's audio without affecting comments/favourites etc. It's also pretty cool to find out if that label/DJ you sent a track to actually listened to it. Don't really care where my listeners are located tbh, I don't think solo would be worth it at all, unless you really need the extra upload space

EDIT: also, the Spotlight tab is awesome!

I reckon its not worth the money unless your a label. The only good thing that i think is good for is that you share your music in more groups.

You can do that by sending it to the label/dj exclusively, I think it's way better to do it this way than to send it to 20 people and see who listened to it.

Ahh yeah that's a good point, definitely better to send tracks exclusively like this. It's still cool to see the odd name you recognise among the listening stats though haha

They just almost doubled the prices too didn't they? I'd wait until the new soundcloud rolls out before paying, maybe they will be changing/shifting around paid featured plans.
