Well, its not that I'm asking permission, I'm just wanting feedback on an idea. Of course, after all that everyone has said, I think from now on I'll just make the track, then get feedback. I would, although, like to thank everyone for sharing their enlightening opinions. :D

Just don't try to make new names plz.
I mean why can't it just be a mombatohn track with trancey synths? Or a hardstyle track with a different drum pattern?
Moombatohn and hardstyle are already horrible names by themselves.

do what you want, no need to ask just to see if any respects your idea..
you'll get more respect for making something original that sounds good.
spend time in your DAW and see if it works!
who knows you could make the next moombahstyle/moombahcore/moombahsnore sub-sub-sub-genre some day :)

Im thinking about fusing elements of dub with 2 step.
I think I might be on to something.

Another overly facetious comment, good to see you're maintaining the consistency

Let's take this a step back and look at the development of the two genres (Moombahton & Hardstyle) that are giving birth to 'moombahstyle' in this thread, might make it a little bit easier for you to get your hand round;

Disco > House > Electro House > Moombahton
Disco > House > Hard House > Hardstyle

Of course, this is only at a base level...electro house for example has influences from electro, whereas hardstyle contains elements of trance, as does hard house...but that's an aside.

My point is - when you've drilled down into subsubgenres already, merging two subsubgenres to create a subsubsubgenre with it's own name is just a bit on the silly side.

tl;dr - Worry less about what's it called/people think of it, and just concentrate on making it.

Not rocket surgery ;)
I think you missed my point - i was arguing for genres as i find them a useful way to describe music. A couple of comments were arguing against having genres and sub genres.

I agree, some sub-genres sound silly.

It's funny how many times countless topics evolve (devolve?) into a bit of genre/sub genre "stuff" lol. But honestly, if we can all just realize it's the rational part of our brain trying to understand what we're listening. At the fundamental level it's music (hopefully) lol and I know I may get ridiculed for this reference, but I saw skrillex once live and he went on a rant at the end of his set about haters, etc and classified it as "bass" music. I thought that was a reasonable approximation :P

We always want to rationalize what we experience. When we cannot do this, we feel uncomfortable/think it's weird. The deeper and more honest question would be to ask yourself why you ever feel compelled to do so?

To deep? Yea probably. Fuck it! BROstep FTW!

First off; Moombahton is a real genre. If you wish to state otherwise, suck it. Second off, Hardstyle is really badass techno, there is no house involved. Ever. Third off, here is MoombahStyle: soundcloud.com/imalab/woof-woof-womp-womp

Disregarding the genre names and existence circlejerk, I'm not quite sure how it would work. Moombahton is usually at around 110 bpm, while Hardstyle is at 150. My issue is how it would the drums actually work out, since the difference in tempo and style (Hardstyle is focused mainly on UNCEUNCEUNCEUNCE, while moombahton is different). The closest I can think of something that actually exists would be the dubstep subgenre (inb8 rage) of carnival, which is essentially moombah sped up to 140.
I make music, and I came here to discuss it. If you want to hit me up on skype, its jimbo_tulpa_slice, and my FB is Logan Patchwirk Winterhelt.

Also, why do people always put Skrillex and deadmau5 together and think it would be awesome, it wouldn't.
