never forget
I did that in GTA:SA but only after I had strapped the jet with satchel charges. Flying the jet into the tallest building in San Fierro. Jumped out last min and parachuted to the ground. Not sure if I was able to detonate the satchels while floating tot he ground or not. None the less I received an instant 5 stars upon crash.

I mean thinking about it now SA's representation of LA was pretty small looking back. It had some key places but if this version isnt to have San Fierro and/or Las Venturas i fully expect the map to be much more intriguing and have more real representation to the actual area of LA.

I live there now and ive done a bit of venturing myself and would love to see that implemented into the game...

Makes me think how they will implement the whole unlocking of the "next island/area" thing they have always had going on if its just LA. I mean Liberty City was diff islands, SA was different Cities, Vice City similar to Liberty...

yup
looks like they took some (much needed) advice on their shader work. Looks like a scene straight out of FarCry or something. They must've done an amazing job to get it looking that good tho and still be able to keep all the drawdistances reasonable! I hope it doesn't melt my xbox!

Read Dead had amazing lighting and distant vistas, so with 2/3 years worth of new technology since then, I don't see these screens as unbelievable. They look about right for this stage in xbox lifespan.

I'm more surprised that the 360 can handle it, that's all. The graphics memory isn't huge for a start.

That's what I like about Rockstar, every screenshot they release is in-game, no bs!
... And they take feedback from players very seriously

Rockstar are the business, pretty much every game I've played (I'm a console gamer, mind) has been class. Their version of The Warriors on PS2 is one of the most underrated games ever. I'd kill to have it again.

Yeah but surely it can't look like that on consoles? I mean, it's like 6 year old technology. Games have never looked that good on the current gen.

1080p on an expensive, high dynamic tv? Some games I thought looked "just ok" at home, looked like IMAX at a friends house who had a better Set.

It doesn't seem that big a leap from Red Dead Redemption, tbh...

I used to plod around on my horse just admiring the scenery in that game. Pretty fucking weird pass time, tbh.

True. Pre-release screens of RDR are pretty much on par with the new screens of GTA:V

Where there's a will there's a way. They've been building on and re-writing the engine since GTA3 came out in like 2001 or whatever. GTAIV had the biggest budget of a videogame ever. If anyone can do it it's Rockstar :D

Fingers crossed for mod tools, better online play (MMO cops & robbers please) and at least an option for more realistic weapons, etc.
