I appreciate their skill but they sound like the hip hop version of metal. Not really my cup of tea. Enjoyed the first Jedi Minds thing when it came out, but the style doesn't seem to have progressed.
That raw cake is the only hip hop I listen to basically. That and Amerikkka's most wanted

Better give some of the suggestions in this thread a go then.

(oh and snap, missed that. Got all that Jedi Mind stuff too!)

ANOTHER OBVIOUS ESSENTIAL ONE!

A lot of good albums mentioned but here's another idea to trigger the memories.

Trawl through these mixes....

http://www.itstherub.com/category/history-of-hip-hop/

A mix for every year from 1979 through to 2009, tracklistings included.

And now that you reminded me of these, today is gonna be a day of hip-hop :h:

It's mainly the beats I'm in this for, but Kit Knows - The First Space is quite enjoyable.

I need to check this thread for all the classics though. I should know a lot of this stuff, but I don't, sadly
Soundcloud

Mix with the likes of 2562, Blawan, Mark Broom, and Truncate
