Tbh it's not all because of that. I just don't really like the general feel of leather. And pretty much every leather shoe I ever bought turned out to be uncomfortable as fuck.Ferryman wrote:You know the animal is already dead, right? It's life has already been snubbed out. Really? Interesting, I always find leather to be comfortable... and they let your feet breathe so they don't wiff up as fast other synthetic materials.ultraspatial wrote:Tbh it's not all because of that. No, because that's killing an animal purely in the name of accessorising. If a cow has been killed then pretty much everything gets used. The meat goes in to butchers, the bones in cosmetics and sweets, the skin gets used for clothes and all the organs go to McDonalds - as much as possible of the animal is used.Electric_Head wrote:So we should all wear fur?
I'm not what you'd call an animal rights activist, but I do think killing 100 Mink for a single coat is pretty out of order...
...unless, of course, there is a lucrative market for Mink meat which is being filled - in which case that's fine

Re: The things that pissed you off today ™ thread
Cant seem to find a way to get around not having a return flight booked for Australia.
I dont want to book with a certain return date as I may want to stay longer/shorter but "open" returns dont seem to exist anymore.
Not really sure what other options there are.
Book a cheap flight to NZ from Aus and have that as my outbound one? Thus getting around the needing one home part? Not sure what other options there are.
Edit: God damn it this is not the random thoughts thread
Oh well seems if your coming on a working visa you dont need a return flight booked just proof you have money to pay for a return.

Ppen dated tickets are difficult to come across these days, and where you can get them, can work out very very expensive.
Best option cost wise is to book a ticket with either a 6 or 12 month validity (depending on when you are likely to use it) with a fixed return date that can be changed for a fee. depending on where you want to go un Aus. Emirates & Etihad are good at offering the ones with the option of changing the return date either FOC or for a small fee (subject to availability in the same class). Changing the routing however can be more difficult, and more costly.

This exactly, even if you want to change it's normally only £100ish.wub wrote:Ppen dated tickets are difficult to come across these days, and where you can get them, can work out very very expensive.

Tories on about implementing a 5% tax on people's benefits. Wow. They just keep finding new ways to make me feel nauseous in the morning.

Being too critical towards myself and my productions. Haven't shared a track in months, and having to scap countless projects because they wern't going in the direction i wanted them to is starting to get quite annoying.

Why does England even host outdoor sporting events?
Every test match and now the odi has been effected by rain.
Edit - Wonderful, match abandoned.

The worst part about it is whenever i come up with something i want to put in a track i'm always at work. By the time i get home i forget what my thought was. I should probably start taking notes.ehbrums1 wrote:With you hereRedderious wrote:Being too critical towards myself and my productions. Ger NanoStudio on your phone (if you can support apps) and use it as a sketch pad for ideas - that's what I do if inspiration strikes while I'm on the train or something...Redderious wrote:The worst part about it is whenever i come up with something i want to put in a track i'm always at work.
