Vocal Sampling Tips

I know how to slice vocals in Ableton by slicing to 128 part MIDI notes etc, which works amazingly well.

However, slightly lacking on the picking out the vocals bit. Mainly looking to master skills of picking out random vocal samples, mainly for dubstep drops, kind of like Skrillex's "Call 911 Now" and "Oh My Gawsh" from random samples off YouTube videos.

I know I can listen to videos all day long, but looking for any tips on picking out a great vocal sample.

Audio books, movies, TV shows and radio dramatizations

watch some gritty dark movies, like crime movies or something, theres bound to be good quotes without any background music.
or try searching for dj tools, even sampling another song that is retro is accepted, though it might be a different story on certain catch phrases, Id be kind of annoyed if someone used SMNS' "yes oh my god" on an original, or the you blocked my facebook shit, lol just to name a couple..

For movies and TV shows try and get a 5.1 copy, load it into audacity or similar and the voices could be on a separate channel from the background noise (not everytime but its worth a shot)

now this is a hot tip. You can also isolate them through trickery!

Also look for online soundboards. People have created tons of soundboards for all sorts of movies with catch phrases and interesting quotes. As far as picking them out, that's going to be entirely up to you. You're really the only one who knows what you are making and what will work with it.
