808 hi hats with 1/8 notes filled in randomly with 1/16 triplet fills, hi pass till they are tinny, no mids.
808 Snare with short decay with mid distortion, 200hz punch is not necessary. compress.
808 Kick , cut the mids, parrallel compression only on the hi frequencies, makes it cut through the mix (necessary for trap)
Sine wave with mild colored compression, tune adsr envelope to represent a 808 sub hit, slow the attack down to let kick sound off first
An Orchestral plugin playing a "menacing" melody, make sure you use your spiccato strings.
Top it off with a nice thin supersaw synth.

That is what i picture when i hear this word "trap" being thrown around

Flosstradamus is the stage name of Chicago-based DJs J2K (Josh Young) and Autobot (Curt Cameruci).
They have performed at events such as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Pitchfork Music Festival, Rothbury Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and South by Southwest. They are frequently associated with such acts as Kid Sister (Young's sister), The Cool Kids, and A-Trak.

In 2011, Flosstradamus released the EP, Jubilation, through Fool's Gold. They released another EP, Total Recall, on February 23rd, 2012 through Jeffrees/Mad Decent. Their most recent EP, Jubilation 2.0, was released on May 8th, 2012.
Flosstradamus produced Iggy Azalea's "Flexin & Finessin" track, featuring Juicy J, off her 2012 mixtape "TrapGold".
