Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
yeah I was there. Big dick move to the Livin Proof peeps.
Shit happens though, people turning it into a massive deal. he was only playing a DJ set, the imposter could have played exactly the same set as doom would have

He's notorious for no-shows and for putting out random people in Doom masks to do his shows for him. He's definitely a massive tnuc. I'm glad I stole all his music.Nologix wrote:Never heard about such a thing happening before. i'm not taking sides, just thought others might be interested to dig into it as well.He makes so awesome songs. Such a shame.
Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
it's not the fact he no-shows. This happens a lot in the music world. It's the fact he tries to deceive his fans, customers and the people paying him to be there.murky21 wrote:yeah I was there. Big dick move to the Livin Proof peeps.

In no way should that be acceptable.

^LOL. weak excuse to steal music imo
Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
my insanely huge vinyl collection probably means I have spent about 10x as much as the average person does on music in their entire life and I'm only 23.murky21 wrote:^LOL. weak excuse to steal music imo
So I don't give a shit.

*edit - also, the more I think about it, that is really a quite awful comparison. Especially since most good rum comes from Cuba and all the workers get paid the same shitty wage no matter what happens.

That's certainly a reason to not pay for gig tickets, but I don't quite get where not paying for recorded music comes from.hugh wrote:it's not the fact he no-shows. Pretty sure it's him in the studio.

nah, if he expects people to pay him for a no show then he should also expect people to steal his music. You give and you get.magma wrote:That's certainly a reason to not pay for gig tickets, but I don't quite get where not paying for recorded music comes from.hugh wrote:it's not the fact he no-shows. Fuck it, this mixtape is class actually. The only track that stands out as shite is that Purple Kisses track. What is it with Gunplay? He seems to surprise me with every guest verse but his solo stuff is pretty poor. His verse in Coke and White Bitches is awesomesay_whut wrote:listening to the Mob mixtape now, first 2 tunes are bangin' bruh bruh. nice homage to mobb deep on jay reed
yeah, pretty impressed with the mixtape overall - wasn't going into it with very high expectations i guess - but at the same time can't imagine many of these going down as classics in my library.

Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
Listening to this a lot along with some Public Enemy as I broaden my musical spectrum into hip-hop. If someone could point me in a direction of some similar kinda stuff, I'd be very grateful. Always meant to get into hip-hop but just couldn't sift past all the commercial crap about getting 'crunk' in the club.
