Post by knell » Wed Aug 29, 2012 6:56 pm

all the youngsters are using it to sext eachother these days, why can't that extend to ninjas sexting each other? :6:

it's global, so why not filter your thoughts through a third party company? heh.

cynicism aside, my username is knello

please don't make me regret posting that -w-

it seems like you have to pay for WhatsApp (a one time $1 download charge), and WhatsApp uses your real phone number rather than a username... easy choice for me, considering they're both global and blindingly fast on Wi-Fi, but WA might have some features that i'm overlooking

oh right fuck that. apparently i can use my address book to find friends on kik messenger, i'm gonna do this, but if it results in horrible stalkerish faux pas i'm blaming you knell

What the f is Kik messenger?

Whatsapp works with the phone numbers, not posting mine on here :D

(I've heard people paying for WA too. Whatsapp with that? I got this phone a month ago and paid nothing)

Whatsapp is a great app. I use it more than texting now tbh. Got a few different chats with various groups of friends. As well as standard messaging sending photos videos etc you can send people your location using google maps which is useful in built up places festivals etc...

Kik is pretty much an exact clone of Blackberry Messenger down to the interface, which is one of the only remaining reasons I still use BB.
Kik doesn't seem to have voice chat or ability to send files or video yet though, but they will probably add it. Maybe as a premium feature. Quickly replacing SMS and BBM.
