cool track man! reminded me of that excision intro he uses at all his shows.. liked it but you gotta change it up or introduce some new elements on the second drop because it loses my interest

decided to go over a tune from a year or so ago in ableton, pretty happy with how it's sounding so far but i'm not sure if the individual notes in the bassline are punchy enough. could do with some feedback/advice on that (though any about the rest of it would also be cool)

New grime bit. Some of you may have heard this track in it's infancy, it's grown up a lot since then.

As always, comments and criticism much welcomed. :w:

really like it chekov. the volume on the hits is plenty, it really depends on the frequency on how itll hit on a system. if its anywhere between 35-50 hz it should hit well. I think 40ish should be the target area for this bass (for the inital hit i mean), as thats where systems generally pack the most punch

thanks man, i'll have another look at the EQ! i'll bear that in mind for future tunes as well, i've mostly been boosting around 60Hz in the past

I may be off a little so do some experimenting yourself, anywhere between 40-55 could sound nice, just a matter of what you want.

I saw the thread, went and relistened to the track, and though "hmmmmm, I can do something interesting with this". Glad you're feeling it.

cheers!

i really like the choral vocals in that beat, could maybe do with a bit less treble in the EQ though. might make them a bit warmer
