I had a good idea which I am trying to do now.
If you guys want a tip dont think about the elements, key etc of your song so much. Think structure and arrangement

I'm having way too much trouble writing something for this.
Really not that serious...

Re: Son of Tuna (the thread formerly known as Tuna Week)
In your write up you could put " I abandend the theme of this challenge and just made a random track, thus sticking to the brief" ,,, but like write that in your own words so the teacher doesnt know your copyingketamine wrote:I'm having way too much trouble writing something for this.Really not that serious...

Re: Son of Tuna (the thread formerly known as Tuna Week)
So I have been losing a bunch of sleep composing songs for this. I finally settled on one and am now starting the mixing process. My mixing skills are not where I would like them to be but that is why I am participating. I wanted the foundation of the song to feel abandonded so I started with a descending chord progression. I could have had it ascending and it would still be abandoning the root note but it did not give the same feeling as a descending chord progression. I imagined this song as a person that has been abandonded and wanted it to feel as if the music was telling you the story. I had ignorance, surprise, anger and sadness in mind when creating this so I apologize if the song has "too much feeling". My current obstacle is I just created a new song that I like and I cannot stop listening to it over and over. I am afraid it will start to get old and I will lose the flow and feeling that I am trying to achieve.
Re: Son of Tuna (the thread formerly known as Tuna Week)
always a problem if theres too much feeling imo
Re: Son of Tuna (the thread formerly known as Tuna Week)
Basically got mine done but I have to go see my Gran in hospital this weekend. I will try and get it done on time though. If not I'll only be a day or two late depending on how long I stay if that all right
