this :(
Haven't heard any proper breakcore in years now... and all that crossbreed, industrial hardcore etc stuff ain't for me.

That's a pretty straight up breakcore line up...

3by3 (Cloaks's label) mixtape, hella noisy;

Soundcloud

Can't wait for the Necro Deathmort x Dead Fader collab, that should be hideous.

Yeah but it aint the same. It's close enough to be into it just fine, which I am. But it's like the difference between a good powerviolence(breakcore) band and a technical death metal band (crossbreed, darkstep, etc), you know?

And like the show you linked is pretty much what I mean with what the VERY OCCASIONAL breakcore show is like. You'll have some headliners (Krumble and I:gorrr, I don't really count Wheyheyhey yet) with a zillion bedroom producers. And i t's coo' that they get out to play and it doesn't mean that they aren't dope producers, but it shows that ot most big international producers, it just ain't worth touring anymore.

The PRSPCT sound is getting old too, though. Their shows and all others in that style all host the same artists. Limewax, DJ Producer, Panacea, Outside Agency, Current Value, N-Vitral... I dig this. I dig them all. Bt it's just EVERYWHERE.

I want something new and hard. Maybe notch up the bpms to 200 bpm again, have the same clean production of hardstep, high quality kicks of industrial and the glitchy mashed up break fuckery of breakcore and maybe then shit'll get interesting again.

Yeah, I can agree with all that, but I missed the 'golden years' so I can hardly complain...

Tonight has been a discovery of some slower things again, revisiting Cloaks, Dead Fader, JK Flesh, listening to some other 3by3 artists, some faith restored in dubstep, albeit verging on post-industrial/noise, it's wicked shit.

Still feel like I haven't properly explored Scorn, only got Evanescence & Gravel Bed, any others recommended?

Stealth and Refuse: Start Fires are my favourites from him

Tried to get into the 3by3 stuff. It's alright, but I barely have the patience for a whole album.
Mobthrow is sick though. The Mutant Dubstep Vol 3 EP is his best imo.

maybe its time to change that? :4:
though im not sure if its even possible since every 'pure' breakcore tune released in 2012 will come across as a retro thing meant for nostalgic people.
i really like the harder dnb/crossbreed stuff and some industrial hardcore, but what they do better sonically compared to older breakcore they lack in creative freedom. its all dj music in the end, whereas a lot of guys around 2005-2007 performed live and released albums instead of 12"'s

anyways i love this thread keep it up guys :U:

I'm working on some 175 stuff atm :0 think a more Tech Itch'ish approach to crossbreed, But I'll try some 200 bpm shit when that's done!

And technically this is drum & bass and none of that evil shit, but this pounds SO HARD that it totally deserves a post in this thread;

Maybe >.>

Soundcloud

And old WIP I never bothered to finish. But it's kinda decent. Some drumfunk with some cut up bossa nova.

Soundcloud

The.. unmixed, crude, part of the intro of some thing I've been working on lately, with no transitions, no fills... NOTHING. I sohuldn't actually be SHOWING it to anyone tbh. But you hear a TINY BIT of my awesome kicks in thurr. It sounds better now, but meh. I'll wait until it's done.

All my other shit, some of which was actually finished, is loooong deleted.

Promoter was asking for last minute supports suggestions for Venetian Snares on Tuesday, sent an email telling him the Teknoist now lives in Bristol...

Tuesday just got a lot more awesome.

This is brilliant. Dead Fader make the music I'd make if I had any talent. Coincidentally, Necro Deathmort also make the music I wish I could think of, and the two groups are collaborating for some sort of project! Should be the electronic release of whatever year it comes out!

Finally bothered to check out that flashcore stuff, awesome when in the right mood.

Off to see Ital Tek tonight, hopefully play some Bloodline sorta stuff...
