I've been thinking of finding someone to rhyme over it, it's 110bpm and i think it has that sluggish massive attack vibe that could be good for someone trying to do something different. Any thoughts on that? Anybody want to spit?

Also, here's a special piece i've been sitting on for while i made entirely out of my own field recordings. I hope someone here might like it :)

Post it in production, get a competition going for best bars.

Bonus points for people who send for other forum members.

It will be like when wiley got people to clash over his track.

Surely that's the best idea I've ever had?

Yeah man gonna mirror the others it's pretty sick :)

I'd look around for an mc Internet forum and post your beat there, I'm sure there's one out there?

gewze, chekov, and collige, I'd love 320s if you're sending em around :)
really liked this mate, the beginning was amazing. :W:

idontreallygiveashit that field recording's sick, can't wait to start doing some things like that when my dictaphone turns up

Hmm i don't think clash over my tune would be a success! But i'll definitely keep my eyes and ears open for an MC i'd want to collab with , i've had some friends spit over some beats of mine but urr they're.... they're not what i'm after  i've got loads of 90-120 wips that are just begging for some vocals on them. I'll also look for some female vocalists on soundcloud or something too, even though they're kind of cliched. I want husky baritone men!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

You're going to have so much fun when your mic comes dfd, you just end up sampling everything, i mean everything! The tune i posted included, to some degree, a bike chain, turning on a stove, an exhaust fan and flicking the pages of a dictionary! Just random shit like that can be turned into interesting things. I really recommend reading about granular synthesis, the possibilities are endless with that - i usually use camel alchemy and this free program called Hourglass to create tracks like that. Very fun stuff.

Cheers dfd :)

All those found sounds were the combinations of about 6 or 7 recordings I took from the freesound project - a bunch were like cigarette lighters and stuff, and then some doors closing and opening and some chains clanking, and then some kids playing on a playground in southern UK ;)

Long long reverbed vocals - only a couple clips spread out, but with a super long verb/tail and possibly some echo, that's what fits in here

The one in your sig?

Really trippy sound man. I like it, got a computer game soundtrack feeling to it.
