@Houston Weather - Seriously loving this tune. PUT VOCALS ON IT! It'd be absolutely amazing. Three word vocal parts like
"Come with me" - Pause-
"outta here well leave-." - Pause-
"don't say behind, gotta make time"
Something else etc. with that little up main lead part if you follow. the one that comes in at 30 seconds
Other than that, pretty good. Maybe a slight change up towards the middle somewhere to keep the ears going.
Seriously repeated your song 3 times lol. Also...Could you explain to me in a PM what you mean second wise by falling out?
Also turned my tune up, used some drum beats loops. Realized a couple things were off on the reverb on the piano. Really fixed/changed the song up a bit
Anyways I gave feedback in the page earlier, here's the tune in wav format with a better mix and master of it
Soundcloud
I need lyrics and singing.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ Houston Weather - This sounds like what i would be listening too stuck in a elevator too hell. Its chaotic, and a little unsettling (i mean that as a complement), but very organic sounding. I totally agree that some vocals would rock that shit hard. Something simple yet haunting.
@ Ficticious - Its really hard to put my finger on what this sounds like. Theres defiantly a lot happening although you wouldn't think so on the first pass. Im really liking the lead sounds/patterns.
@ wewuk - Im really liking this tune. It could totally be background music to some sort of serial killer/horror film!! I really like the sounds and samples you choose to use. Honestly, I'm not feeling the "up tempo" part so much. I think the song just flows a lot better and the "slower" tempo. Just more intiguing that way.
So heres my shit; Soundcloud
Dont have much to say about it. Im just trying to figure out what i dont like about it. Theres something that just doesnt vibe that well but i cant tell what it is.
Lemmie know what you think

Its your snares or high hats man. Too crisp. Don't fit with the tune, the rest is sounding pretty good. 1:11-1:17 a little off key.
Just re-check that stuff.
Just re-check that stuff.
Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@crimsonghost: that bass is boring, I do like the melody on top of it, the kick is either very absent or drowning in the bass sound. the snares/hh are imo ok, nice dnb sound to them. missing space on the sound, it's all in the middle and that makes it boring, give it some reverb. those sounds at 1.55 are a bit random and don't feel like the are part of the song. the pad at 2. min is imo a bit too loud. good ideas, just need to work em out a lot.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@MaZa1 :
I like the dark vibe it has, but i'm not found of the extreme panning in the build up,whether it's on the snares or the rising noise.
The first part of the build up is dramatic as it should be, but the second half does not bring enough tension imo. Therefore the drop isn't the relief it should be.
@mthrfnk :
I really dig the melody. I don't like the FX you put on the voice though, or at least they are not evolving enough.
The vocal in the breakdown sounds really offbeat, it's disturbing. And btw it lacks a "gap" between the build up and the drop.
I loved how you used the original's 2nd drop in your 2nd drop. Really.
@t_thrust
I loved the (perdon the term) "skrillexish" high pitched intro. I think that the hook melody is solid, however I found that the very beginning of the drop sounds way too distorded. It's a bit too chaotic (i'm sure you wanted to contrast with the kiddieness of the intro, and that's a nice idea) but it's too much, at least of me.
--
As hundred of producers, I worked on a remix of skrillex's make it bun dem. That's the result so far.
PARDON the random drop of the robot voice, "this is faare faced's work". I'm far from having a big ego, especially given the fact that i'm new to production, but this is a contest and no matter how good or bad my work is, i don't want it to be stolen. I hope you don't mind and that it won't prevent you from enjoying the WIP :)
I'm almost done with arrangement, but i'm open to suggestion/remarks.
If you have tips on mixdown (I did it a bit throughout the writing but just a tiny bit really), i would LOVE them because I can't say I've been doing this for years unfortunately.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
wewuk- I think you already posted that one before. Its grown on me a little, maybe because the first time I was on my laptop speakers, not my headphones. The Atmospher is really good, I just feel like you should change it up a bit.
JTMMusicUK- Idk if you posted feedback earlier or something, but most people will straight up ignore your post if you don't post feedback for other people. TBH, I didn't really like it that much. :35-:40 probably killed it for me.
Crimsonghost- The vibe and the lead sound is really good, I was driving along to this and it was really cool. Didn't really like the wobble sound that came in around 3:04. Maybe thats throwing you off.
Here's my WIP again, I found some vocals because that's what most people who heard my WIP said it needed some vocals, Now I'm not sure how they fit.

Hey! Dude above me, your track sounds pretty good. Although I think it could benefit from harder drums and some more contrasting sections
Although it sounds very well mixed.
Anyone wanna take a listen to this thing I just made?

And Feeback time.
ewuk- Try to fix up the repettiveness a little bit.

@nanocloud - Well it's cool, but it's more like a basis for a song. Try and throw some more apparent stuff in synth wise, have a few breakdowns etc. it's only 1:23 long though so. keep at it.
@OP for the vocals dude, like I said. I gave you a line to work with not using those words in particular but the lead synth that goes upward with three notes. singing to that is what I meant. Keep the vocal when it goes up big that's good. but at :28 seconds in on your soundcloud when that synth comes in, imagine singing to that. This is what people are referring to.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Houston Weather - Nice intro, like the leads but I can't hear the beat - it's there but really quiet? I'm only listening on shitty headphone speakers but they need to punch through. Not overly keen on the melody personally but that's more subjective. Doesn't really seem to drop either, maybe work on dynamics to make it clear when it's dropping. Bass needs to be fatter as well. Pros are definitely musical ability, you've got some good music progressions and I really like the vocals - just needs to be a bit more engineered.
@nanocloud - Like the heaviness of it, got some awesome sounds in there, I'd enjoy messing around with your samples! I'd agree with fictitous about needing breakdowns and stuff like that, and maybe switching up a bit more, the only problem with a heavy tune like this is you need to give the ears a chance to rest a bit in between ear destroying bass
@FAARE FACED - Ahh the Skrillex remix - something I'm hitting up this weekend! Like the sound (the bass sounds pretty nasty so good work on that!) but it sounds a bit too sparse, it needs something to fill the gaps in terms of ambience, and I'm also in the thought that a remix should show more individuality than just recycling sounds (think Armon van heldons remix of Tori Amos's professional Widow - completely different except for a few parts). As a WIP it's good though, build it up and it could potentially be something I'd like to listen to
I'll be posting something up later this evening, a 140bpm moombahton tune which I've run out of ideas on, I'll ask for feedback then!

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ficticious: Thanks man! Yeah I literally just made a drop and looped it a bit with some variation. More attention to sample editing and drums rather than making it a song yet. I'll worry about flow and structure next time I can open up the DAW
@adover: Awesome
Yeah, sampling is fun! I get how some people could be like "Oh dude you're weak, sampling other artists" but come on, I'm using them as base audio for more manipulation, I'm getting the sound I want, and I'm still writing original tunes, just using my skills in sample manipulation as opposed to synthesis. Plus, it's not like you can really pick out what samples are from who and where, they're all pretty generic sounds before my processing so you can't even tell haha.
Also, I'm excited to see your moobah track! I want to give return CC haha.
@flateric: The first one sounds pretty cool, but it needs more time on the drums. Like, they're not quite interesting in rhythm. The hi-hat is a bit loud, and I think the snare could benefit from being a little more present, maybe use a different sample?
As for the other two, there seems to be some weird EQing going on, like you're stripping out a lot of the mids...I'd say either add some kind of midrange instruments to fill the gap or check your settings

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
As promised! I've spent so long messing around with tweaking this tune I've gotten a bit sick of it, gonna move onto another tune tonight
Soundcloud
One more feedback while I'm here, as I enjoy putting my tuppence in!
Flat Eric: Top tune, nice idea, it's pretty flat though, lacks depth, and there's a lot of muddiness in the bass. Also as nano said the drums could be fatter - try layering some up with different frequencies (i.e. some with heavy bottoms, some with snappy tops etc)

@nanocloud
Thank you for listening, tbh I probably won't touch them again, force of happen; just 3 loops I made in a day but I do agree with what you are saying (drumloop ust through in there and didn't really level the drums, just some reverb on the snare which I should layer another snare really).
@adover
Thanks for listening :>. Yeah I think I have 2 layers with content close to the sub bass so I could sort it out or just make another loop
I like your track too. I think I have heard of moombahton, your tracks sounds a little like a hardcore track (mostly after the drop). Can you recommend some decent mixes for this genre and maybe trap (unless someone was pulling my leg about it being a genre) too just to save me searching the web :>

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Hey guys, looking for some quick feedback on my updated remix - trying to nail this one this weekend:
Soundcloud
Looking for pointers on the mix mainly, and also chords/melodies etc
Feedback for others:
@adover: Nice intro, drums are tight too. Man, the drop with the vox is good too. Sounds like Hardstyle moombah lol, only one criticism - at points it sounds a little muddy on the real low end in the stereo space, try and centralise your low end. Great job man.
@Houston: Intro is nice, the panning works well. Not a fan of the snare, sounds a little thin - try layering a tom? Pads bring a nice touch, although the builds needs more energy. Not sure on the drop tbh, the vocals sounds okay though. Try using a sub-bomb at the drop. Also, work on bringing your drums out in the mix.
@FAARE Faced: Nice work on the vocals, I like the chopped synths too. Definitely sounding like a good entry. Tbh I like the robot vox - maybe have it say your name at the drop? The mix sounds good too. Not sure what else to recommend
Thanks

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
It's been a while since I have posted here, but here is my latest WIP:
*EDIT* I was having a hard time, going about making, two different synth lines, at 0:39, and 0:58. The WIP, is a redux off of, "UKF Dubstep Tutorial",
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJzfTZlEl40
I noticed the synth, and fx's, go into the drop, and act as a backing, so the main part of it, is just Modulated Bass, and Sub? The song doesn't seem that layered really... I need to probably, close the gap/space, between 0:39, and 0:58, so it doesn't seem that repetitive..
Soundcloud
Feedback:
@Houston Weather: I agree with Ficticious, you need to add some vocals, towards the beginning also... Good track /)
@nanocloud: d-_-b This be some Koan Sound shit! ^___^ I really love glitch hop! Add some sounds like Ugh, Ha, or random sound effects, to keep it flowing...
@flateric: The first two sounds really cool, but the others do sound like that are lacking something...
adover: Other than that high pitch "AAAAAH" lol, the song was good.. Sounds like Knife Party kind of... I think I just had my sound to high, cause that high pitch scream, hurt my ears....
@mthrfnk: I think this is the best Remix, I have heard yet... Not much to say, sorry... I think it's really good ^__^ Sounds really electro housish...
Sorry for not giving in depth feedback... Most of the tracks I have heard were really good, and only could use minor adjustments...

@Hueston weather - That is demented bud ha fair play i like it the evolving pattern is class
@Living proof - Biiiiig sound bud nice clean mixdown got a deep dungeon vibe
@Crimsonghost - You got the flow goin but everything is too static, a tip with the sub bass get an lfo to modulate the volume or filter cutoff and get that sub moving with the beat.
@User avatar spacedub - Yeah thats a nice tune man, the kick is beautiful nice job on the reverbs working really well
Second song is fuckin huge nice melody and mixdown, bit of filter work as it progresses tho would do a treat
@Ficticous - Nice atmospherey, may change where yer outta key there nearly sent me on a bad trip
the end buildup is great love the saw.
@Wewuk - Chilling sound bud i really like it, nice mixdown the more i listen to it the more it grows on me really nice tune
@Faare Faced - Skrillex route eh
nice work bud on your basses tho keep them flowing maybe add a couple of triplet bass notes at the start or before a kick or snare and as sad as it is to do to a kick sometimes you should highpass it for sub room. Good job
@Adover - Been a while since i heard some decent DNB gj
Flows great nice and tight, and that outro is class!
@Smor3s - Ha dubstep with derpy nice one bud, i like it nice bass shuffle the hats a bit get her movin.
@Mthrfnk - Nice remix bud i hated the origional tbh but i dont mind that remix you did. nice work
This is my new WIP appreciate feedback on it so far have a bit of work to do on it yet but sure yee know yerselves. the bit at the end was jus a couple of stray sound bits dont mind them!
