Been going since 2004 and I feel this year especially the intimate special vibe has long gone. The site is too narrow to support 60,000 or whatever it was this year and I heard so many complaints about over crowding in the tents. My gf was in the big top for friendly fires and apparently it was rammed to the point of being dangerous.
The type of crowd has also changed as well but I suppose that is inevitable given the line up and 'quirkiness' of it. Found a lot of people very pretentious and rude even just on small things like when people are pushing through the crowd, in previous years the majority would say sorry or at least acknowledge you if they nudged you when moving through.
I know festivals have to make money but it also seems to have got a little bit greedy, £180 for a ticket, £15 for parking, £8 for a program or £3 for the app. No line up timetable released online so you are forced to pay more money to actually see the acts you have just paid £180 for.
Saw Sigur Ros, Bukem, Pearson Sound, The XX, Alt-J and some others. Oh yeah did anyone see Plastician? Very weak set I was gutted.
We found an iphone and gave it back to the owner
