Re: Future Bass Mega-thread (Trap/Bass/Rap/???)
Who gives a shit about lack of innovation in music? I do.
This is recycled horse shit by less than artists for listeners ignorant to history. It's the hip hop equivalent to someone thinking Skrillex invented dubstep. You're brocking out to skrillex and justifying it

there is more than two options
and no, it's more like selecting something that i can subjectively enjoy over something that drives me absolutely insane and makes me instantly leave the dance.
you might be right, but throughout this thread you seem preoccupied that all these sounds have "already been done", so let me rebut your old man argument with mine/Harrison's:pkay wrote: surprised no ones brought up that the natural progression after southern hip hop is crunk. I give it 9 months for these same folks to be biting off old 2001 little john and the east side boys beats as some new genre
DAMN SON WHERE'D YOU FIND THIS? I found it in the discount bin at the cd store with all the other old dirty south mixtapes from last decade
and to direct you to Kirby Ferguson's series Everything Is A Remix.
i honestly wonder if the first meat-eaters became irate when steak became the go-to meat for a large section of the populace... the anger would be similarly justified (as in, not at all)

Re: Future Bass Mega-thread (Trap/Bass/Rap/???)
also, if i catch anyone enjoying and replicating Chopin, i guess i should roll my eyes and laud over how they're biting old, outdated trends (i can find a Romantic classics disc at Wal Mart, after all)... or is there a certain time limit where it becomes appropriate to crate dig, and (god forbid) make music that i enjoy?
Re: Future Bass Mega-thread (Trap/Bass/Rap/???)
crate digging, paying hommage, or being influenced by is one thing. Blatantly copying and recycling is another entirely

i'll leave it up to you to involve yourself in drawing those arbitrary lines and calling out the offenders, then.

Waaaayyy better than that UZ mix. UZ makes some pretty cool tracks, but I'm not feeling his selection so much
