Not really a massive fan of the swedish DM stuff, that entombed track just sounds like tough-guy hardcore with a bit of pantera thrown in though haha

This. It has everything. Ridiculous drums, vocalist that doesn't sound like he needs a poo and riffs out of the arsehole.

Don't think I could ever get bored of Swedish DM riffs.

Honorable mention goes to The Haunted.

slaughter of the soul sucks and is the stepping stone most mallcore fans discover death metal. 'The Red in the Sky..." is a much better At the Gates album.

:z: the snobbery and elitism in metal is ridiculous, I used to get so much shit from metalheads because I also liked hardcore, its quite funny now being in a metal band again the attitudes in the scene still aint changed, I still get funny looks at gigs because I dont look metal enough to be in a thrash band haha

init, i used to breathe metal, practiced guitar for fucking HOURS everyday wanting to find/join a band to make music with

most metal fans were just stnuc tho, i hated the whole thing after a while and ended up playing in a punk band which was way more fun

Entombed are without a doubt my favourite death metal band. Them and Dissection.
